    2006 Suzuki DF140 RPM Racing

Hi Guys - I'm back from vacation and finally made it to the slip today to check on things. I'm sure the engine issue is the rubber hub. Is there any chance I could repair this in the slip? For the winless, I found and checked all the fuses...no issues. I got a multimeter on the switch and...

    2006 Suzuki DF140 RPM Racing

You guys are awesome. Thanks for all the advice. Since I've never noticed it on starboard, sounds like a mechanical issue. I typically run with the engines trimmed up about two seconds after hitting the stop down. I don't have trim gages so it is by sound only. I know the trim is not exactly...

    2006 Suzuki DF140 RPM Racing

Hi there, Looking for some advice on my Suzuki DF140. I have twins on my Tomcat and the port engine RPMs seems to race high occasionally. This has never happened on the other engine. I thought this went away once I changed the fuel separator but now Im not sure. This seems to happen only...

Tomcat Thru Hull Chirp Ducer- good idea?

Hi again, My Airmar TM150M Transom Mount CHIRP Transducer looks to be flaking out. It had been fine since install Dec 2014. When I changed fluids two weeks ago, we cleaned it up real nice and carefully. Ever since, it just cannot hold bottom. I don't think it changed angle but that is...

    Tomcat 255 Steering Trouble

Ya - I'm laughing pretty hard too. Here is what sealed the deal: Found this list on a DF150 (I searched DF140 exclusively): There are 4 fittings on a Suzuki DF150 that need to be greased; -2 are located on the tilt bracket, facing forward. You can see them and get to them from inside the...

    Tomcat 255 Steering Trouble

All right...I'm at it again! I pulled on the boat yesterday and changed fluids and the low pressure fuel filter. Everything went great except my grease gun will is definitely the wrong size for teleflex zerk fitting. I have searched and cannot find anything on this. I'm guessing my gun is...

    Tomcat 255 Steering Trouble

Thanks guys. We did put a little grease on the rods and that seemed to really help. I also found a little oil on the back side of the helm so I think its a little of both poor lube and seals. The former probably brought on the later. My engines are counter rotating.

    Tomcat 255 Steering Trouble

So I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019P ... UTF8&psc=1 and I couldn't get it over the zerk nipple... What the? I backed the collet open until it fell off and still wouldn't fit. Sure it's user error. Ideas?
