    C-Dory 25 vs Venture 23

Ktoot, I have the 23' Venture with the liner and I love it. I don't see it mentioned on this thread that blankets, pillows and sleeping bags that happen to be next to the hull in the V-berth don't get wet from condensation. And I don't have morning cabin sweat to wipe down. I think the liner...

    Debating between a 16' and 19'

Hey, thanks, Pat. Yeah, I'd say a 16' Angler is one hell of a boat. I put over 3,000 hours on my little love tub, and have nothing but good things to say about that boat. It's a marvelous craft, but you have to know your cruising style and preferences.

    Ahoy from Birch Bay, Washington!

I agree, that looks fabulous, Pat. When we gussy up our teak, it really rewards us with a warm, rich look.

Is shutting down the economy worth it?

Tosca/Sandy, I saw that PBS documentary some months ago, and that vile creature to whom you referred was Joseph, not Eugene. I remember Eugene McCarthy in the '68 election cycle, and even as a kid I could see he was a man of decency and integrity. I think 1968 was a pivotal election that bore...

Twin Honda 40’s to twin Honda 60’s

Jay, I'd sure be pleased with that kind of MPG. (I'm about 4.4.) More power, fewer RPM's necessary, and increased range. I'm really tickled for you with your brand new partners in exploration. Speaking of which, like Pat and Patti's '17 Loop and Osprey Andy's trip to Alaska, I really enjoy...

Fred, image 4 looks like it was maybe intended that way. Yeah, possibly a ladder, given it's from South Carolina.

    South Puget Sound cruising destinations?

Rob and Mark, thank you for all that useful South sound information. Nice photo, Pat. I always enjoyed sitting around the campfire there and elsewhere. Markm on South Whidbey, the San Juans routinely attract many more boaters than waters south of the Narrows Bridge. But given the current...

Any thoughts to help get us through this pandemic?

Damn good neighbors, I'd say. Marty, thanks for the clever compilation from Jan B. down in New Z.

    C-Dory Sightings

Saw a handsome green sixteen cruise slowly by the houseboats on Portage Bay in Lake Union (Seattle) yesterday. Folks, that guy in the blue coat waving to you was me. It was a good day to motor about, and I imagine you had big fun.

    Ahoy from Birch Bay, Washington!

Hi, Berry and Barb. Have fun catching crabs and cruising around in Crabby Lou. I'm glad you bought her. She's a fine little craft, and I hope to see you on the water one day. Last boat, eh? Well, I've heard that a time or two. Careful about excessive exposure with our kind, as C-Dory sizing up...

    We Have Sold Crabby Lou!

When I saw this post's headline I wondered if Team P could possibly have given up chasing crabs. Of course not! Good to hear, and your revised Birch Bay crab collection system sure sounds like fun. Cocktails and conversation above while the critters crawl into your cage below. Or a slow cruise...

How slow can you stay on plane?

Gosh BillE, that's not what Foggy's comments sounded like to me. But I have to admit that's the first time I've been introduced to codswallop. Even the dictionary couldn't set me straight. Foggy's sure right about the twits who plow, making a huge wake trying to squeeze another knot or two out...

Twin Suzuki EFI 20's on a light 16

Wow, Marty, thanks. I didn't see your 3/4/2016 post about Bambina, and that happened to be her 27th birthday. Now she's in the very capable and appreciative hands of MikeR. We sure love our C-Dory's. :love

Rob, thanks for stepping forward and offering to promote a gathering down your way. Harvey, I also was thinking about you when I wrote that last night. I bet Harvey would be interested in a cruise down there, thought I. Well aware that a even a meek rendezvous suggestion thrusts one into the...
