I spend a lot of time in the Gulf. I have a ditch bag, and one of the items in it is a PLB. I don't go out on a boat, mine or any one elses without it. Hopefully it will be a waste of money.

I have a 16ft Alumaweld and a 23ft C-Dory. I have had the little boat out in 6ft seas. I have had the 23 out in 5ft seas. Both short wave length in the Gulf. Not fun. CAN you go out that far in a 16, yes. SHOULD you, probably not. In any case, buy an EPIRP.

Before I bought my 23, the Rossi was high on the list. I love the side doors! I had reservations about a semidisplacement hull. I considered boats with nothing but outboards. The Arcadia seems to be a nice boat, but in our water, I want a motor I can trim up. I don't want a motor in the cockpit...

I have a C70 on my boat. It has a fit now and then. I called Raymarine. They said to smack it a couple of times. I did. It worked.

My understanding is they are great fresh water boats. I was considering one of the 21ft boats with the outboard bracket before I bought my Cape Cruiser.

I have a 16ft Alumaweld. I have had it out the Jupiter, FL inlet in 6ft chop and in the Gulf in 5ft chop. I had it out yesterday in 3ft waves with a good breeze kicking up the whitecaps. It gives a better ride in the chop we get in the Gulf than my Cape Cruiser, and it handles much better...

Tom My point exactly. We used to haul duce & a half and 5 ton trucks loaded with 155 & 8 inch rounds. Without the fuse, they aren't much more dangerous than a rock.
