    VHF radio vs. cabin temperature

I had a problem with a SH that was several years out of warranty and they took it back and repaired it, no charge. I have purchased 2 since and am unlikely to change brand. I think you might improve your odds of above standard response if you post your problem in the electronics section of THT...

    2008 22 Cruiser Anchor Type

I went from the Bruce claw to the Delta 14 fast set and it suits my needs well in the bay area. Even does a pretty good job of sticking on the steep barron hardpan rims of many of our reservoirs where the claw dragged badly. Both types fit well on the hinged Lewmar self launching bow roller...

King Saltwater Double Axle Trailer - Bearings Part Number?

There is some good advice in this thread. Check the Champion source mentioned. I'd certainly call King to make sure of the correct parts. http://www.thehulltruth.com/trucks-trai ... ectly.html

    sewing machines

I'll say a little more about the clones. Mine is a Reliable Barracuda. $499 First, it is the worst operating manual I have ever seen. pictures were less than a first grader would draw, and you couldn't even understand how to correctly mount or thread the needles. Second, there is virtually no...

    sewing machines

I have one of those China nock- offs of the Sailrite LSZ-1's. I was told they come out of the same factory as the Sailrite's. Probably true since every part from Sailrite fits great. Really tough with the addition of the power pin wheel, will sew 10 layers of sunbrella forward and reverse, but...

(Inexpensive) Replacement Wipers for C-Dory 22?

http://www.c-brats.com/viewtopic.php?p= ... ae2580df02 I believe I made my last set from a Rain-X blade I bought at Wal Mart. I think you can get one twice as long and make 2. I thought I saw a thread on a a direct replacement, but I can't find it now. The link is to page 2, see page 1 also...

    C-Dory theft security

I bought a battery operated pressure pad alarm. Very high decible, that I put inside the cabin under the carpet if I'm on the road (staying at a hotel ,tent or something). I think it would wake anybody within a couple hundred yards and might send a thief scurrying without a ton of time to search...

  12. 12 watt Solar Panel (battery maintainer)
Mounted on storage shed roof near boat. Took 50' extention cord and cut 18" off female end and attached it to a small solar controller (picture 3) in Lazerette attached to main cranking battery. Attached the long piece to the Solar panel. When connected (pic 2) I have automatic battery maintenance. I leave switch on both so the whole system is maintained. A small switch was added to turn off the battery combiner during solar charging.

    Bait Tank on 16 angler

Thanks for the help Joe, I see Shasta has made 3 feet from the rim! Your boats must be riding higher than any time in the last 4-5 years. Chris

    Bait Tank on 16 angler

I have a Kodiak round 16 on a 22 Angler and its perfect for 1/2 scoop and can be removed in about 5 minutes if you want your cockpit back. It will add about 150 pounds to your setup. So..... you could just find an extra person about 150 pounds and have him sit in the rear corner of your cockpit...

Wiring a Sony stereo & VHF

I think I have the same setup. I just wired my memory wire to the same power lead (hot when switch is on) and live with the fact I have to search for stations after switching the battery off. I'm usually only looking for one I like and often use CD's. Believe it or not, no ipod yet, but the kids...

    Handheld VHF radio with GPS

I've had a Standard Horizon HX850 S for about 18 months. It is both my backup, and something I clip on my belt when single handed fishing. It works great, holds a charge a long time and the GPS is virtually identical (readings) to my fixed VHF all the time. I also carry a ACR PLB, but like the...

    Electric Trailer Winch

I've had a PW 912 on my boat for a couple years now. I love it for single handed loading. The RC 30 is the same power with a nice remote control and a light. It will pull my 22 on the trailer at a small incline dry. The remote is great to keep you out of the line of fire in the event of a cable...
