    Questions re hot surge brakes

Though it is always best to completely repack a bearing with fresh hi-temp lithium complex marine grease, here is a link to a table of grease type compatibility. http://www.easternmarine.com/em_store/t ... _info.html

    Raymarine S1000 Wireless Autopilot

I wanted to add that I often troll for Kokanee with the kicker on a stainless rod attachment at speeds as low as 1 to 1.2 mph and the little AP does just fine keeping a straight line (even in winds up to 10-12) though it is working almost constantly. I'll point it at a shore landmark, run a...

    Raymarine S1000 Wireless Autopilot

There are a couple pix in "interior stuff" in my album. Pic 1 is where I put the on-off button and cradle for the remote. Pic 4 is the pump/computer and warning horn. Doing it over, I think I would mount it vertically, but it works fine (easier to get to the bleed screws). The lengths of the...

    Raymarine update

I guess this would be a good thing, at least for people under a Raymarine warranty. Not so sure about being a good thing for the future of marine electronics from an innovation and competitive pricing standpoint. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/garmin ... 0%20%20%20 Chris

    Insurance claim...know your coverage!

I'm very sorry to hear of your ordeal but thank you for posting the informative and thought provoking story. I have two alarms for the boat, though until now, I have never used either at home. Neither one is very state of the art (but better than nothing). The first one is a battery op pressure...

    Questions re hot surge brakes

With almost all disc brakes, it is recommended that you use high temperature rated marine grease as they typically run hotter than drums. I know some who swear by the new oil bath hubs. A bit before the ramp, you might be able to lock out the brakes at the actuator (if you have a HD truck...

Outfitting a New To Me 16 Angler

I think four vertical pvc pipes (or rod holders) at the rear of the cockpit would work well. Just be sure to pull the rods and lay them down before trailering. Sorry, no fancy solutions here either. Enjoy the new boat. Chris
