  2. The whole shot so far. It is huge, and tbh, my cheap pin meter shows high moisture all around. There is no dry!

Update to core rot and removal.

This is an update on my rotten core and seat box delamination post and a link to another Vimeo video showing my progress. https://vimeo.com/416142754 Today I removed the port side seat box and discovered why (I think) the seat boxes came loose from the floor. On my year CD 16, the foot rests...
  4. Near v-berth support on starboard side. Where dark lines are may (probably?) needs more cleaning out?

  7. Note the dried mud areas where nothing was stuck down. You can also see the feather crack of the tabbing at lower right of photo. I just pulled that off by hand.

floor cracking around seatboxes and flexing in v-berth area

Mark, my boat is always outside, but when on the trailer it is kept nose up. I think the biggest problem, after knowing there was something wrong, was keeping it in the water and using it hard for 10 months while working on the cabin. Rainwater was an issue even with a tarp, and I used it to...

    Shrimp bait

I know there is a food forum, but since you are shrimping - I used up the last of our spot prawns in a recipe this weekend that was probably the best tasting thing I have ever made. I used yellow onion instead of shallots and didn't have any mint for serving, but other than that followed the...

floor cracking around seatboxes and flexing in v-berth area

Ssobol, it was mostly a joke with the kids because I didn't want too many people seeing it. They were joking about 'internet sensation' and that I'd be advising people to 'subscribe to my channel'. Folks search YouTube. It's a place to go for content, but Vimeo feels less used, or used...

floor cracking around seatboxes and flexing in v-berth area

Update: It is bad! I think the water was getting in to the core through the screws that attach the v-berth supports to the floor. I removed the porta potty as soon as I got the boat and took out the flange that held it in place. I knew enough to fill those holes, but I really, really wish I...

    Zoom for technical issues

This sounds tailor made for me and my core issues, though I don't know if I'd be comfortable with an entire zoom meeting witnessing my bad boat care. I'd certainly love to have a way to show my progress in real time and get advice on my repairs, but I, personally, might prefer...

floor cracking around seatboxes and flexing in v-berth area

Thanks for everyone's replies. One would certainly think that with all the fishing here, and boats, there would be a fiberglass repair shop around. If so, it is well hidden! I know there are folks that do fiberglass work independently and called the boat repair shops to get recommendations...
