    Verizon Deal Act Now

I tried the my verizon site and couldn't make heads or tails. Had the same understanding, my plan no longer existed. So I called them. Got a guy on the line that changed my plan to a lower cost, plus said since I was using a standard phone they knocked off another 10 bucks. This worked out...

    Pot heads and C-Dory?

I should also add that the government "price" will never be competitive with all the "entrepreneurs" sprouting up out there.

    Pot heads and C-Dory?

Seems to me what legalizing did accomplish was it set the price.

    YouTube video river trip:

Loved it. Have boated many years on the lower reaches but not that far upstream. This is the year. Amazing how much smooth water you had. That is not normally the case. How did you get back to your vehicle?

    Reporting back From NMI Factory

Les used silicone when he mounted my radar arch and it worked great. The roof rails were mounted with silicone at manufacture and seem to be fine. I don't usually use it myself but so far where it has been used it has worked fine.

    PROJECT-A-PALOOZA!! - V-Berth Access and Mods

My foam is the poured in type, totally bonded to the hull. I have removed about 3 cubic feet on the port side so far, the easy(er) stuff under the hatch I installed. To get much more I would have to install another hatch and work from there. Might do that if I totally run out of other things...

    PROJECT-A-PALOOZA!! - V-Berth Access and Mods

Ray, thanks for the info. I just got back from visiting my boat and while inside the v-berth storage area I got my answer. And there is even foam in there between the area where the potti sits and the hull. Guess I won't be cutting into there.

    PROJECT-A-PALOOZA!! - V-Berth Access and Mods

What did you use to cut the circle for the inspection plate, and how far down is the hull? Kind of curious what I might find in there as well. I put a bomar in the forward area and it is full of foam, really nasty foam. I like your hatches much better than my bomar. After doing one I decided...

    Your cruising speed?

I have tried displacement cruising using just one of my 35 hondas and it just doesn't feel right and have the same control. Surprised so many like to go with just one engine while idling along.

1999 yamaha f80 gas in crancase oil

Thism same thing happened to me about a month ago. I was going to take the boat up to Sportcraft for the yearly service on the twin hondas but wanted one more trip to the coast. The night before leavihg pulled the covers and pulled a dipstick and oil/gas shot out. Sportcraft changed out both...

    you-tube of depoe bay

Boris, the swells were so big he had to turn into them and hold his position, while waiting for a flat spot to appear. To try to outrun them in that boat would not have worked out. There were two different sets of swells, ones from westerly and some from southwesterly. If he had run in and a...

    you-tube of depoe bay

For those of you unfamiliar with the central oregon coast go to you-tube and search "depoe bay kadaho". This will show you the ocean which is pretty common this time of year. The video is two parts, so don't miss the second part. It will show you what it is like to enter depoe bay in less...

    What would you do?

I had a couple colorado's in the fleet I had to manage and they were really uncomforable and tinny. After I drove the first one I offloaded those things as fast as possible. Also, they don't seem heavy enough to pull a 22' safely.

    Towing

You may get away with it for a very long time but that one time when you are going downhill, around a corner, and have to make a panic stop, game over.

    Your cruising speed?

At 11 my boat would not be quite planing, and running in inefficient mode. I do like the 7 though. I'm retired so it doesn't bother me.

    storage cover

I bought an ADCO full size pickup cover after getting the idea from someone on here. It works well but I did notice that by spring I had mildew on the outside surface of the rear bulkhead. Apparently not enough ventilation. But on a 22' it will cover the entire boat including engines, even...

Used C-Dory 22 or new Boston Whaler 190? Best for 1st boat?

Two different types of boats which while they can share the same purpose they will mostly be used differently. The smaller whalers are primarily day boats and the c dory cruisers can overnight for most any period you can handle. I had 4 whalers over a 40 year span and they are great boats...

    Trailer Value?

When I purchased a new 2010 tandem trailer from les at eq I had him sell the original 1996 ez loader single axle trailer on consignment. It was pretty beat, brakes rusted up, everything in rough shape. He got me $1100. More than I expected. Yours is pretty nice. I think you should get at...

    May buy new CD 16

Speaking of getting back on board, the swim step is really nice but in a pinch if you have a permatrim you can go around to the back and sit on the permatrim, tilt the motor up (if it has a remote tilt button on the cowling) and step into the splashwell. Very easy to do. Learned that one on...

    May buy new CD 16

I had a 16 cruiser for several years and it was plenty safe. Went out into the pacific halibut fishing up to 20 miles without concern. As for going up on the bow, if there are waves or swells wear your life jacket, that is a small, bouncy area. They are a great little boat and I am reasonably...
