Your first time in a C-Dory.

Our first time on a C-Dory was in 1991, on a test run with one of the owners of Coos Bay Marine (CD dealers at the time). First impression was how well the 22 cruiser handled the waves of the North Pacific in December. Closer inspection revealed the many advantages of owning a C-Dory...

    SOLD>> 2004 22 foot Cruiser for sale

What a beautiful, well equipped 22 you are selling. Someone will get a good deal on a lovingly cared for boat. Although we haven't met, we've enjoyed perusing the interior changes made to Anita Marie (some very nice work). You'll love the new 25 in Nomad. :D

    Balsa core problems

We have owned three boats with extensive use of end-grain-Balsa (2 C- Dorys and 1 Olympic) with no negative experiences. As Jeff has stated above and all of us already know, it's that core that makes our boats so darn buoyant (coupled with the stability of that dory-style-hull). By the way...

    2-90's or 150 + 15 Kicker for 25?

The main power for 25's before last year was the 130. The owners we've talked with are very satisfied with the performance and economy.

    Outfitting a 25

The propulse composite prop has worked very well on our 135.

New 25 Owners - Single Engine?

Phantom, According to Honda, the 135 puts out 30 amps at 1000 RPM and 40+ (yes a minimum of 40 A) at 2000 RPM and above. Hope this helps.

Ride Difference between 22 and 25

Ron, Comparing our 22 (92 cruiser) with our 25 cruiser, there is a noticeably smoother ride in the 25 in a chop. However, our 22 did not have the trim tabs. As others above have mentioned, these boats have flatter bottoms and a sharp entry which dictate slower (economical) speeds in rougher...

    Dusty's 85th Birthday is Today!!!

Happy birthday Dusty, Although we've technically not met, you raised a great son (so you must be alright). Also, you and Les took some fine pictures of our boat when it was in production last year. Plus, from reading your many posts, your lifes experience and seamanship shine through. :wink

    New member 22 or 25?

Sgt. Jim Our experience includes four years with our 22 (92-96) and one year with our 25. They are two vastly different boats! We pulled the 22 with a four-cylinder Toyota, the 25 requires a towing capacity of 7000lb. The main reasons we selected the 25 were 1. the stand-up head (sounds like...
  16. This was a fun project (although I'm broke now). Total cost was $590 Excluding the extra battery. I chose the Tundra because it was a bit cheaper than Novacool or Isotherm; had a great service network (Dometic); and used the latest Danfoss compressor.
