I run with twin Yami 40s, the older carbed models. I get 18 knots with the boat heavey laden, which seems to be all the time. Probably 22/23 knots if light. Don't ask me about fuel consumption. I have never bothered to work it out. If I was re-powering, I would go with the new twin Yami 50s...

We have stayed there. Nice little marina as mentioned above. Run by a young family who let us use their own washing machine while the laundry room was being renoe'd with a new water pipe. My only gripe was the fuel was ethonol, so I passed. Martin and Andrea.

One of my favourite spots is Wallace Island half way up the Gulf Islands. Newcastle Island near Nanaimo is well worth a visit. Comox is a good stop if you are going north up the Vancouver Island side. Martin.

Hi Cgypsy, What you described can happen with ethonol is exactly what happened to me. It was costly. Tow the boat to a marina. Recover boat. Clean out both fuel tanks. Clean 6 carbs in two engines. Relaunch boat. Cost hundreds of dollars and a great amount of time. I googled ethonol free...
