    TyBoo repower

You will be amazed how different your boat is going to preform. I repowered from a 150 Honda to a 200 Yamaha and the difference was short of amazing. A 200HP for a 25 C-dory is the perfect match.

09/29 - 10/01 - Stuart Island, San Juan Islands WA

The park does not reserve camp sites that I can see for Stuart. So I thought that Robbin and I would get there on Thursday and register the campsite on the bluff above Prevost dock. That way we have a place to hang out and have the potluck. With all the options for dock space, state floats and...

FISH!!! Broken net, San Juan Islands

Just talked to a couple guys at Twin Bridges who fished between the shore and the pens. The got 8 fish on spinners and power bait. They even got one by just netting him as he swam by. Sounds like combat fishing to me.

    Broughtons August trip

We originally had an early ferry from Anacortes but they lost one ferry so the afternoon sailing was the only one. If we trailer again I will take the BC ferry and not WDT ferry.

09/29 - 10/01 - Stuart Island, San Juan Islands WA

With both docks and the floating docks in Reed Harbor I think we will be OK getting a place. Not sure if we can reserve a group campsite but I will find out. I will be bringing firewood if the burn ban is over. If anyone would like to bring some I have plenty at my place if you can pick it up. I...

09/29 - 10/01 - Stuart Island, San Juan Islands WA

Would there be any interest in a late gathering at Reed/Prevost Harbor on the last weekend in September. With the floating docks there should be enough space. Hopefully there will have lifted the burn ban and we can bring firewood. If there s enough interest I would be willing to host. Let me...

    Get home motor use

In my old 1982 Angler my 90HP Suzuki 2 stroke plugs fouled half way across Rosario Straits in marginal weather. I came across the rest of the way on my old Johnson kicker. I am with others that if you have a kicker use it as muck as possible. I like to use it leaving a dock/anchorage just to...

Trailering to Port McNeill, were to stay

We are taking the later Anacortes/Sidney ferry later this month. We don't wand to push it so we will need to stay on the road some where that night. I was hoping someone had stayed someplace they might recommend. There is a Walmart in Campbell River that appears to let overnight camping. Thanks...

    Repair or Replace Trailer

I am just finishing my rebuild of my King Marine trailer. The frame was still in good shape but it has sat for more than 6 years and has suffered the ravages of the NW. I completely rebuilt it. New sealed hubs, breaks actuators, break discs, tires, changed to electric over hydraulic with new...

    Bunk spacing on trailer

I have decided that I will be going with 4 bunks and change the hardware from the solid mounts to bolster mounts with swivels. I will be into it for another $150 but I think it is the best option. Thanks Mark and Bob for your help it is much appreciated. Fred

    Bunk spacing on trailer

Hi Mark, I see what you are saying. I wonder if I took off the one support second from the back. The brackets are beefy enough I think they would have no problem supporting the boat. Then it might be able to cradle the boat.
