Donald, go to my Midnight Flyer album, and look for the nested album on my enclosure. I had it custom done by a local guy that does good work. The same guy did the bimini on C-Traveler. I don't remember if the bimini folded forward as well on my 22, but it does on my 25. So I can fold it...

    Windlass/Rode Setup

Here is a photo of my anchor setup while deployed. And if you look closely at this one, you can see how I use a rubber bungee cord to snub up the anchor rode so it's not so noisy sliding on the front roller when sailing in the wind.

    Windlass/Rode Setup

I'll see about getting a photo sometime today if I remember. Like you, I also use the bungee cord to secure my anchor. However, only while the boat is on the trailer. I do not secure it on the water for the same reason you mentioned of wanting it accessible in case of an emergency. I think...

    Windlass/Rode Setup

You never want to just leave the windlass to hold the anchored boat. Unless it's in calm water for a lunch stop. I have 300' of 8 plait rode and 20' of 1/4" chain. I had an 13 lb Delta anchor, but won the 22 lb Delta in the auction. :D I also have rode markers every 30'. (Little vinyl tapes...

    03/04 - 03/06 - Hontoon Island, Florida 2025

Hi Bob, I heard about that trip from James. He did say he made a wrong turn...and you pulled him off the bar. We almost didn't make it into the St. John's River on the south side of Lake Harney. Actually, almost didn't make it into Lake Harney. There is a shallow area coming into Lake Harney...

    03/04 - 03/06 - Hontoon Island, Florida 2025

Well, Rosanne and I headed for the ECON. We made it as far as the Jolly Rancher fish camp by the Hwy 46 bridge. Got under the bridge, but couldn't get any farther due to water levels being too low. We actually made it into the St. John's at the south end of Lake Harney, but propping thru sand...

Thanks for all that added to my Coloring Book! Also, I uploaded all the photos I took at the gathering (and last night fun with the Manatees at Blue Springs.) to my google drive. You should be able to log on and download any photos you...

Well, another fine gathering comes to an end. Once again, Tom and Joyce did a great job of pulling this all together. THANKYOU! I think in all we had around 20 boats. Some old faces and some new faces. Everyone that attends, adds icing to the cake at these gatherings. Safe travels to all...

Windless help for a 22’ Cruiser

I wouldn't recommend the fisherman model. The difference between it and the regular model, is it allows a free fall. Ie, the regular model, you have to power it out or in. The fisherman model allows you to tap the down switch, and it free falls. It does this with a special clutch mechinism...

Marina showers are open at Hontoon. However, there is no hot water (as of earlier this afternoon) as they are waiting for a new fuse for the on demand water heater. Not sure about the campground showers. Ranger said they hope to have the hot water going next couple of days. Also, if you are...

Ideas on where to mount autopilot pump

I did clear out the foam in that area under the V-berth, and I think I used the cutout under the bunk cushions as the cover. (I placed some small strips of wood around the interior of the cutout for the cover then to rest on.) I cut some holes then in the top of that cabinet next to the helm...
