Bob, thanks. I don't blame you for almost cancelling the order. But in my case, I have two tanks. I fill them both and there are switches on the helm to select either. Are the port and starboard tanks dedicated to the port and starboard engines? If I leave them off, the Honda instruments seam...

    Browns Point Suzuki is gone

I have ordered from them in the past. They had a very well stocked operation. I was looking for some things for my 140 Suzuki last week and went to the site and saw that message. Very sad indeed.

    Inflatable Kayaks

Thanks all. Leo, that site is great for comparison purposes. The jury is still out on Kathy's preference of the Hobie Mirage drive over a regular paddler. We'll see which wins out. Thanks again.

Charlie: I think Bob is correct for the 2006 TC. However, the manual you forwarded me says the tank is on port side. Must have changed things without updating the manual. I don't doubt that your tank is where you say. Must have changed things midstream. Thanks for the winterizing things I...

Thanks for all the info. Will check it out. Cat walking in front of screen makes it difficult to type right now.

    Inflatable Kayaks

Bob: Thanks for the reply, Bob. Yes. My wife liked the Mirage drive. I can't seem to find an inflatable on Hobie's website. Do they exist or were you speaking of another manufacturer? Also, the water tank and water heater on my 2006 TC are on the starboard side as you indicated. Bill

    Inflatable Kayaks

Hi Folks: Thanks for all the useful info on winterizing my TC 255. Now, my wife just sold her Hobie Mirage kayak and is looking for an inflatable kayak which we can take on the TC. What should we look for and do you have any preferred brands, materials, and so on. Thanks,

Thanks Bob. My manual says the water tank is on the port side when it is really on starboard. The hanging locker has has shelves put in it, and they were not readily removable, so thanks for the tip. I know you have great knowledge about a 2006, so I really appreciate your input. Thanks. I...

Thanks for all the replies. Matt, I feel for you. And thanks Bob and Will-C, and Roger. I have done most of what has been suggested, the boat gets put on the hard Friday. Can't get the generator started, so we ran rv antifreeze through it with the starter at 10 second intervals, and we got pink...

    Tomcat 255

Hi all: We have just enjoyed a wonderful summer on our new to us TC 255. I imagine this will be the first time this boat has been winterized for a northern winter, as it has spent all of its life in FL. I am in need of advice on where to buy maintenance supplies - ie. filters, pump impellers...

Bring this up with recent events. A little wordy, but been on the road all day. Kathy and I went to Apalachicola via a visit with her cousin outside of Amelia Island and a visit to our son outside of Orlando. Then on to Apalachicola. Mark was delivering a boat over the weekend, so we had...
