    Kayak advice needed...

No doubt that I have quite a bit invested in 6 kayaks, but I acquired all of them at bargain prices (like I do with most everything). 175 Tsunami still had tags on it...list was $1750...paid $650 145 Tsunami was brand new on sale...list $975..paid $575 140 Tarpon was new on sale...list...

    Head Gear (as in hats)

Being the cheapo that I am, I purchased 2 canvas hats from wally world ($9.97 each) that have snaps to hold the sides up, and a draw string. I can stuff them anywhere without worrying. No mesh, but they do have brass vents. I typically have the sides snapped up unless it's raining. Very...

    Prop DIAMETER

Ha ha ha!...I needed that! She never specifies the premium synthetic blend, and frequently fails to put them back in the garage.

    Prop DIAMETER

Thanks Joe! I'd hoped to try it out this weekend, but the twins are also due for an oil change and I didn't have the time. Hopefully I'll try the new props out next weekend.

    Sleeping Positions

Hmmmm? We've never had that feeling with feet towards the bow, although Jo did have a natural inclination to sleep the opposite direction when we fist got the boat. I'm curious as to how much out of level your berth was (?) I'll be checking ours now that you've sparked my curiosity.

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Cleaned the stains from the Cumberland River off of Thelma Lou, swapped props for new ones, removed fishing line from the starboard prop shaft, then went to work on the other boat project.... I'm building a 3rd (center) pontoon for our 24' pontoon boat. We rebuilt her from the ground up 2 years...

    Prop DIAMETER

I found that my port engine's prop had suffered a hit that bent 2 of 3 blades, one has a small crack as well, so I went to order new props. I could not find an exact replacement (11.25 x 13) so I went with 2 Solas that were listed as 11- ?/5ths X 13. Can't remember the "5th's" but I mistakenly...

    Kayak advice needed...

I'd REALLY like to come up with a good double yak rack, and some sort of lift assist for bringing them up and down. We saw a couple of the the advanced frame inflatables while in the Bahamas, very nice, but I haven't paddled one. We have several plastic yaks, 2 WS Tarpon 14' sit-on-tops, a WS...

    09/25 - 09/27 - North Carolina Gathering

One heads-up...Last year, Whittaker Pointe did not accept credit cards, but did accept checks. I don't know if this policy has changed.

Looking for a used 16 Cruiser

Say what! Do you have any idea how rare that is! It took us 2 years to find ours...and had to drive to Maryland! See you on Lake James this weekend??????

    AMF Slickcraft SS 245

Thanks!...have had that site in my favorites for several years :D . Before I found out about the C Dory, I was going to start with a SkiffAmerica build. I ordered plans, check one out down in Charleston, and still may build one someday.

    AMF Slickcraft SS 245

Byrdman, all of my life I have had at least one project of some sort at any given time. Some I have lost interest in, some are still around. I enjoy them, and finished or not...I usually end up getting my money back at the very least. I kinda have a knack for that. Friends and family never...

    Our Cumberland River trip (LOOOOONG!)

No problem Jeff, we idled back into your cove to admire the lift setup (sweet!). It didn't look like you were home, but it was around 9am Sunday. The 4th is also my son's birthday. We took him to a fireworks show when he turned 4...he thought that everybody was there to celebrate his birthday...

    AMF Slickcraft SS 245

Well, I'm still considering it, I have no idea why. Maybe if I could get my money back out of the engine and outdrive (at something less than the $1500 asking price)...then I'd keep the rest for something to do.I could likely build an OB bracket myself. Maybe I should take the wife's advice and...

    Welcome to the C-Brats!

Welcome Steve! By chance...have you had it on Jocassee yet? I hope to go for those lake trout up there for the first time very soon, I'm just not set up for trolling.

    AMF Slickcraft SS 245

Yes, the trailer is included. The ad was placed by a 3rd party, and "they" indicated that the engine will "turn over" but will need new plugs and plug wires, and new batteries. The actual owner has not used the boat in several years due to a spouse developing cancer.

Way off topic, but does anbody know anything about these? I certainly don't need another boat, but I've found what appears to be a deal too good to pass up. 225hp I/O V8 OMC outdrive Dbl. axle trailer Pics show it to be in fairly decent shape, and a bit of research seems to indicate that this is...
