Shipping a boat from Washington to Alaska

I drove out and pulled back my 22 ad 25, it's definitely the cheapest option. You get to know the boat and trailer on the way back plus you can sleep in the boat. I looked at shipping options but the road trip made more sense and it's a great Drive.

    150 Verado overheats above 2800rpm

Picked up the boat last Thursday, spent 3 days out with zero problems. Jeff the machanic at BassPro here in Anchorage did the work, took the boat out on the water twice to make sure it was right. He went through everything, pulled lower unit to check water pump, pulled thermostat and bench...

    150 Verado overheats above 2800rpm

Granted you are correct, the motor is lugging. That doesn't account for the fact the temperature stabilized at 150 degrees for over 5 minutes, than all of a sudden on restart rose above 210; it's obvious a problem still exists. This has a short duration static test, hardly enough to do...

    150 Verado overheats above 2800rpm

Update, Left the boat with the 5 days with my dealer of choice, the mechanic just replaced the entire water pump assembly. He showed me the parts where it looked like there was some abnormal wear, saw some shiny and dull places didn't look that bad to me. He ran the motor in the tank to about...

Testing motor on the trailer at ramp

Left the straps on had no problem just had to keep pulling the truck forward every once in awhile because the tide was coming in; 40 foot tide today do the math. Motor still has a problem found a certified verado tech taking the boat there Saturday, overheating problem describe in another thread.

Testing motor on the trailer at ramp

Okay so I'm going to go test my motor out at the ramp without launching. I've never done this before so I guess my question is do I leave the straps on or take the straps off and just leave it attached at tthe bow. I'm thinking of leaving the stern straps on to stabilize the boat because I'm...

    150 Verado overheats above 2800rpm

Gets a flushing after every trip. But even if there were restrictions in the water jacket it would not explain the sudden onset. First time it happened the problem cleared up after about 2 hours, engine temperature stabilized at about 149 150 regardless of RPM as it should be. As I stated the...

    ELECTRIC CRAB/PRAWN TRAP PULLER

BTW, great effort incorporating videos of all the popular pot pullers. This kind of contrabution and effort is what makes this site such a valuable tool.

Interesting, my line stripper was fixed so there must have been a modification sense I bought mine.

    ELECTRIC CRAB/PRAWN TRAP PULLER

The switch burned up on my Brutus also, but Ace has addressed this issue and mounted an external high amp switch. The old switch was mounted in the base of the motor where there was just not enough room to insall a proper switch, it was the weakest link. I did the same with my older Brutus...
