One other thing: Make sure you get it adjusted so the trim/tilt hydraulics STOP PUSHING before it reaches the mechanical limit of the engine's travel, whatever that happens to be. It can put a lot of torque on things if it's still pushing when there ain't no place left to go!

Two Lucky Fish and crew will not be attending this year. First time we'll miss it since purchasing the boat. We're very disappointed, but apparently Arwen's First Communion, with all her little classmates, is an event we Must Not Miss.

Boat marketing is a strange thing, ain't it? I don't claim to be any sort of expert here, but Jim's comments strike me as largely valid. It's interesting to see which boat displays consistently have visitors.

Well as long as we're just dreaming here, I was impressed with the Coastal Craft on display alongside the Fathom 40 at Qwest Field. Really nice 40' aluminum-hulled cruiser, made up the road in Vancouver BC. Still, for $1.1 million, I think I can get a lot more boat on the used market, no?

It's hard to go wrong with those classic Grand Banks boats. I like the trawler cabin forward/cabin aft layout, with a common area in the center.

This is just my opinion, so please feel entirely free to reject it! I looked these boats over yesterday in more detail, and they seem just a little bit "complicated" to me. Too many parts. Too many mechanical fasteners holding them together. Too many places requiring sealing/bedding/caulking...
