Wallas 95D Heater Cover Fan Not Working

Great post, Journey On, which Ecofan model to you use? I see there are two listed for wood stove use, an 800 and an 812. Thanks, SJH

Wallas 95D Heater Cover Fan Not Working

My 95D Wallas stove starts and works fine but the fan for the heater top doesn't work when I lower the hood. The unit has very few hours on it. Any thoughts?

    Single handle faucet for sink

I found a new Moen unit on Ebay otherwise, I believe it's been discontinued. SJH

    Single handle faucet for sink

Off subject, but we just redid our bathroom and went with single handle Kohler which is awesome. Our C-Dory will definitely benefit from a single hand water-on capabilities. The old knobs were inconvenient, at best. SJH

    Single handle faucet for sink

Thanks for the quick response. I'll keep looking for the match to your Moen unit since it seems to be a perfect size. Some of the other look a bit too long for a compact sink. If you happen to get the model number, please let me know. Thanks, SJH

    Single handle faucet for sink

Does anyone have a recommendation for a single handle mixer to replace the leaky, inconvenient dual twist-valve unit that came with my 25’ Cruiser? Thanks, SJH

    Battery Isolation Question

Okay, forget about the AGM verses Starter battery issue. Not important. Both of the switched batteries are Group 27 starter types. Still, not important. All I'm trying to determine prior to actual sea trail is: If I directly connect a trolling motor to the posts of Battery #1 and select...

    Battery Isolation Question

On a 2005 25' cruiser . . . If I select Battery #1 (the starboard side battery) with the battery selector switch, does that physically isolate Battery #1 so that I can directly connect a trolling motor to Battery #1 and not risk running down both units? Thanks, SJH

    Mystery Vessel

This vessel was spotted north bound at Hains Point on the Potomac River in downtown Washington, D.C. on April 20 around noon loosely escorted by a couple coasties. The vessel bore no markings or ensign but was piloted by camo-clad crew. Its most unusual feature was that it was powered by eight...

    Trailering with a kicker

I've noticed that some owners remove their kicker when trailering. I'm considering adding a kicker on a mount that might add maybe 110 pounds to the transom. Isn't this less than the weight of, say, dual 90 Hondas? My 25' has a Honda 150 main. Any thoughts? Thanks, Steve Hantzis

    Kickers and mounts

Thanks to SeaDation for the kicker mount photos. The good folks at Washington Marina in DC have asked if there are any other photos of starboard mounted kickers so they can get an idea of optimal placement on the transom. Any other assorted kicker comments like shaft length, etc., are welcome...

    Kickers and mounts

Okay, C-Brats has provided insight on the kicker-trim topic and I want to thank everyone who contributed. Now, I have a couple more kicker questions: 1. Can a kicker be mounted on the starboard transom of a 25' with a swim-platform on the port side and what type of mount should I be looking...

Kicker's effect on trim of 25'

Has anyone had a problem with the trim on a 25’ after installing a kicker? If you have, how large was the kicker and what type of mounting bracket did you use. Washington Marina, here in Washington, D.C., has some concerns about the kicker’s effect on trim and wanted me to check for feedback...

    Sprint 600 dying -- rebuild-replace options?

Installed the new V700 and a chain counter (Lewmar model 68000600) and everything seems to be dory again. May bust into the old 600 and attempt a rebuild after replacing power steering hoses on XJ-S V-12 Jaguar and finishing a hutch on the side of the garage. Thanks for everyone's input on...

    Lewmar V700 or V700G

Have you installed one to replace a Simpson Lawrence 600? Do they fit with a minimum of additional cutting? The V700 was $619. Best, SJH

    Lewmar V700 or V700G

Okay, it looks like the V700 7mm (P#6670011107-302) is the proper pick. I'm using a Lewmar rode and chain (G4) (P#69000332) that I'm told will work with the windlass. Lewmar is not an easy company to get in touch with so should anyone else need their number, it's 800-362-7212. Will report...

    Lewmar V700 or V700G

Cruising around the internet I've noticed two models of Lewmar's V700 for sale. The Lewmar site says the V700G is sold only in America and handles 7mm rode and chain. This, I assume, is the correct model for 1/4" Chain and 1/2" Rode. Any comments?
