running electronic cables in Ranger 25

I know of a couple tricks to run cables after everything is put together! For radar installation you can run all of your wires through the stack or through a cable cam and behind the spice rack. The spice Rack removes with two teak pieces that are on top and bottom and screws are behind those...

    Pre Purchase Questions?

Just to a remark regarding Old dog's comments. The water tank can be accessed. We have done it. We had added a monitoring system to the tank. I tow these boats everyday with a F250 with a big gasoline engine. Doesn't do well on fuel but it tows it fine. Any other questions please feel free...

    TC255 Building Photos...

Honestly it has been a long time since I have been in a Tomcat. If I remember right I think I would put it under the galley as well. Being that most of your thru hulls are located there and the option of dumping into the shower box is nice. I cannot picture where a good spot for your pick up...

That could very well be the case. If you do not have dual water tanks one of the two sides is open unless something else I wasn't aware of took its place, but it was pretty well laid out by the time I left C-dory.

Sorry I forgot to answer the fuel tank question. We did put 3 rubber strips underneath each fuel tank and two rubber strips on the aft edge of each tank that touchs the baitwell.

The only time we ever put a water tank on the port side was if there were dual water tanks. It would not make any sense if the water tank was on the port side being that the water pump is on the starboard side under the galley. That would be after my time if it was on the port with a single...

    TC255 Building Photos...

Ok I will try to summarize. Starting with the starboard side at the helm back. Underneath the helm is your water tank. From there back it runs underneath the floor under the galley with an access hatch there. Directly under that access hatch should be your shower drain box and fresh water...

Well I don't think I have any photos but I do have alot of knowledge about the Tomcat. I have built quite a few of them and have placed the fuel tanks myself many times. Let me know if I can be any help.

    Nagging details, changes

The easiest way that we removed those drains was to use an air saw and cut the drain just through the brass. I agree 100% on replacing it with a screw in plug. The black plastic is secured from the factory with an epoxy called Methacrylate. If you use acetone to clean it will dull and you can...

    Air conditioning for R21-EC?

I have just installed a A.C Unit in a 21 at the shop and is in deed a good one. It was provided from a company called marvair but does require a little bit of money and some time. I can take pictures if you would like of my installation I did at the factory. If you are interested please give...

    Need to Re-caulk Cockpit Floor

Just one more piece of information. It took about three tubes of caulking to seal that dang floor. The gap was pretty big as you can see. That is not right with the inspection plate not revealing the sender wires and grounds.

So What Did You Do On or With Your Ranger Tug Today?

As it states in the "Yanmar Manual" That is part of there 50 hour service reccomendation. All of the shafts are aligned with a feeler gauge at the factory. We then Run the boats at the Factory and I then run the boat on the water for the day. Every boat we build we do this test. If I had the...

    Need to Re-caulk Cockpit Floor

The sender wire should be able to be accessed by the inspection plate. Bob is right. The one in the center of the removable cockpit floor should be over the sender wire. Each step into the cabin has an inspection plate to access the fuel fills. Gluing those rubber strips into place is not a...

    Need to Re-caulk Cockpit Floor

I am always to late it seems on my post and don't fully read  That gas tank does need to have plenty of rubber stripping on the bottom of it to stop it from chafing.

    Need to Re-caulk Cockpit Floor

Ok Ok Im here Pat =). 5200 is what has always been applied to the 25 floors. I will tell you a very easy way to clean it though. We applied that sealant knowing that most of the boats were in saltwater and normal silicone will flake away. I believe most of the boats have a raw water washdown...

R25 with no trailer - issues?

Whatever works best for you Tim is fine. Just a couple things: The 25 is very very easy to launch. I do it by myself once a week. If you don't mind dealing with your marina at there convenience, than not having one is fine to. I definitely have been seen on a couple customers boats taking...
