    credit card meltdown

Hi Folks, I thought I would put my two cents in this discussion. Nobody mentioned DISCOVER. No annual fee, cash back on all purchases with extra cash for some spacific areas. These run for about three months. They are up on any hankie-pankie on your card. I got a call from them about somebody...

    Coasties targeting Friday Harbor?

Hi Folks, Getting a FREE INSPECTION from either the USPS or the USCGAUX makes good sense. Before I put my boat in the water every year, I give myself an inspection. (I am a USCGAux OPFAC so I have another decal.) Then I have no worry. As for thw three girls on the bow, legs dangling, and no...

    08/8 – 08/15 - Western Erie Canal Cruise

Hi Folks, Just a quick comment about the Erie Canal. It has to be one of the best cruising grounds for a C-Dory. FREE DOCKING, FREE SHOWERS, and FREE LAUNDRY. Plenty of motels along the way if you want to go ashore. Very interesting old cities, all built during the beginning of the industrial...

Random Acts of Kindness - Assisting Others

Hi Folks, I believe that we do not need to formalize any site to get us to help other C-Dory owners. I think it is in our nature. I introduce my self to every C-Dory owner I see in the Boston and Nantucket area so if there is anything I can do to help, call on me. I also welcome them. If I...

Calif Property Tax & Your C-Dory

Hi Folks, For what it is worth. In Massachusetts I get hit for a boat tax of $25.00 from both Nantucket and Hingham. I only have to pay one. For the Trailer, the tax is $40.00. They seam to think the trailer is worth more than the boat. My point is that there may not be double taxation. Fred

    Trailer Bunk Carpet

Hi folks, A few years ago, I replaced the carpets with plastic slides. You can buy them at west marine. I can now handle the launch and retrieve by myself. It does not seam to hurt the bottom paint. Word of caution. If you paint the bottom when you have carpets, put wax paper between the...
