Any Downeast Maine get-to gethers planned?

Hi Folks, All kidding aside, the September Erie Canal Trip is a real great cruise. Free docking, free showers, free laundry, no other boaters to speak with. Old cities to explore. The lock tenders take good care of us. Weather is great. Not to hot or muggy. On our cruise a few years ago we...

    22' Angler Cabin Layout

Hi Folks, I built galley in a box which fits behind the helm on my 22' Angler. It has a single burner alcohol stove toward the back and a sink toward the front. A door drops down on the front to hold "silverware", lighters, and hot pads. There is storage for plates and pots and pans under the...

Enough already with the political comments and "jokes&q

Hi Folks, When I feel down and work is getting to me, I just take INN-THE-WATER out on Nantucket Harbor, check out the boats in the harbor and realize that with all the "Gold Platers" I see, my little yacht beats them all. I don't need a crew, millions to run it, a crew in my face. Pure...

Enough already with the political comments and "jokes&q

Hi Folks, I am guilty and will stop now while I still have a few friends left. My dad made a point once. "You only make enemys if you talk about sex, politics, and religion." So lets talk about boats, especially C-Dory's. Fred

    How safe are anchor swivels

Hi Folks, Some of the windless operate at one speed and therefor the anchor comes up pretty fast. I have a swivel attached to the anchor and the rode so it will not twist. I have read all the comments about swivels breaking and I feel that the forces of a 22' C-Dory are not the forces one...

    Anchor rode twist

Hi Folks, I have a windless on my 22' Angler and have a STAINLESS STEEL DOUBLE SWIVEL attached between the anchor and the rode No twist but sometimes the rode jumps off of the wheel. If you put one on, the twist will stop. Fred

    credit card meltdown

Hi Folks, To Charlie and Sally, thank you for your input. I told this story as a point of discussion. To Martin, you are right on the point. This is what Dick Morris has been saying. Our present President is trying to move toward Karl Marx as fast as he can so when we kick him out of the...

    credit card meltdown

Hi Folks, I am back. Last time people did not like my attack on the present administration. Sorry, but now the credit card companies are attacking the people with the good credit ratings. Being a small businessman, I am always looking for cheap money with a reasonable payback period. In small...

    Safety

Hi Folks, I have an older (1983) 22' C-Dory. I took it across Nantucket Sound one sunday in 25 to 35 knot winds. No problem. It is a very safe boat if you take your time and have a good engine. Fred
