    The new iPad (HD! 4G!)

We have an I-pad2 3G and are running the Navionics and TomTom programs on it and we are very happy with especially the Navionics. Cost in Canada for both programs was almost $100 not bad for a marine and land GPS. I see no need to upgrade until they put more memory and maybe an extra USB port...

    Navionics for iPad

Colobear; You are correct in pointing out that you can obtain GPS without 3G by purchasing an add on GPS puck for about $100.00. But there is no cost for having the built in 3G chip in the I-Pad and using the GPS programs such as the Navionics for the I-Pad. I have also been using the Tom Tom...

    New Fishfinders

Went to the SI Tex website and see that they have a SVX 650 Fishfinder which looks like something that would work for me for less than $800. Has anyone else had any experience with these units? Where would one find a dealer that sells these units in Canada? Thanks! Wapiti

    New Fishfinders

Are there any other brands of Fishfinders with at least 600 watts of output other than Furuno that could be used for both marine and fresh water applications? The Furuno Fv 585 looks like a great unit but very pricey.

    New Fishfinders

I am looking to replace my old Lowrance LMS-350A with a new Fishfinder. I want a dual frequency unit with at least a 7" color screen. Need to be able to use this unit in fresh and salt water. 600 to 1000 watt output? I don' t need GPS as I already have a Garmin gps and an IPad ii with the...

19 FT AND 22 FT ANGLERS

Terel; There are minimal problems bringing a C-Dory into Canada from the USA. A legal bill of sale, some forms to fill out and GST to be paid. Canada customs is most concerned with the trailer and it's road worthiness. You will need a letter from the trailer manufacturer indicating there are no...

    Mounting Bracket for Ipad2

Just recently figured out that you can lock the I Pad view to prevent it from rotating from horizontal to vertical views during a bumpy ride. Wapiti

I agree, I have the 64 and many apps, photos and music plus the Navionics app. and have only used up about 10 GB. Most impressed with the Navionics app. sure beats my old monochrome Lowerance GPS. Wapiti

    Fuel filter installation

Thanks guys the excellent advice. I think I will put two anti-siphon hose barbs on the filter outlets and not bother with any valves. "KISS" Also I think the best place to mount the filter will be on the splash well where it is most accessible and I can monitor it easily. Thanks Nunya for the...

    Fuel filter installation

Unfortunately the Honda/Racor fuel filter ZW1-801AH has only one outlet port. That is why I would need to Y the outlet. I was also told that I should have valves after the Y to prevent back siphoning. As suggested by Spike maybe a valve on the kicker fuel line will suffice? Wapiti

    Fuel filter installation

I just purchased a Honda/Racor filter for my boat. I have a 95 Honda 90 and a 05 Honda 8 hp trolling motor which I would like to connect to this filter. I need to tee the outlet from the filter and should I put control valves on both outlets to the motors? What sort of tee and control valves...

    honda motors

In Canada the price for a fuel pump for my Honda90 from my dealer was $186. I ordered two from Boats.com for about the same price plus shipping. Unfortunately there is only one Honda dealer near my place which can service my Honda outboards. So as already indicated by other Brats most minor...

    IPad 64G, WiFi, 3G, 1st Gen, $499, Target

I have an I-Pad II 3G, 64K and the Navionics app. The marine GPS is most impressive especially compared to my Garmin handheld GPS. The mapping including the depth contours for the Canadian Pacific coast are excellent. I would highly recommend the I-Pad 3G and the Navionics app especially for the...
