    3 pesticides that harm Salmon

Yup, what he said. Also, any dog lovers out there might want to Google "Dogs Lawns Cancer". Makes you think twice about letting your dogs out to play that springtime week when all the neighbors are out with their 'cides.

    Mounting radar arch

I need to do a similar thing...will be my first time drilling in hull/roof. This post gave me some good ideas. But, why fill with epoxy before cutting the larger hole? Also, about how far in did you cut with the Allen wrench (e.g., the long side inserted into the chuck, or the short side...

Repairing small drill holes in hull

Thataway, thanks for the reply here, and on my heater question today over in the other thread. I'm looking forward to getting these holes filled.

Choosing Between Various Heaters and Stoves

Looks like this is the official thread for discussing different stoves? I'd like to put an externally-vented heater in our 1983 Classic 22'. The cabin on these, as you know, is small. I'm sure a cooktop stove (which I also don;t have yet) would help with the heat, but am afraid it would cause...

Repairing small drill holes in hull

In rummaging thru my garage, I found a bunch of System 3 epoxy and hardener that came with a kayak kit. Any reason I can't use this stuff instead of the West system epoxy that everyone is recommending here? I'd be using it to fill the holes below waterline that were drilled by the previous...

Repairing small drill holes in hull

This thread was great, since I found it searching for answers to pretty much the same questions. However, I've seen a lot of reference to "undercutting" and cannot figure out what this means exactly. Can someone give me a definition?

    SMART TABS

OK, I thought some of you who posted responses to my questions might appreciate the outcome of my Control-Experiment pair of sea trials. Note that in addition to posting my questions, I had also called the Smart Tab factory before taking the boat out to verify that these things were the right...

    poor vhf reception

I clicked on this link because in my sea trial last week, my "new to me" radio was definitely a bit weak. I think this discussion will be useful to me, but not before I pull out a radio dictionary to figure out what half the things in this thread mean. I'm continually impressed by the...

    SMART TABS

Thanks guys. They have a ton of resistance (hard to pull up), so I'll leave them on and compare them in action vs. tied up. Sounds like the only time I may notice a benefit is time to get up on step.

    SMART TABS

Thanks. I'm busting my budget getting the boat fixed up and into the water, so definitely won't be buying the hydro trim tabs any time soon. Do you think that having the Smart Tabs on there is worse than nothing at all? In other words, should I remove the Smart Tabs even if I don't replace...

    SMART TABS

My new boat has come with Smart Tabs...it's a 22' Classic with a 90 HP outboard. As I understand it, these Smart Tabs are "gas assist" tabs...they're held down by something (the gas part, I assume) until the force of the water raises them. Now, the rubber boots on each are cracked through at...

    C-Dory Sales Packet - 1983

I found this while searching for the dry weight of the 22' from 1983. The catalog actually skips this - anyone else know? The catalog is useful for other things though, so thanks!

Running with the boat plug inserted from the outside?

Thanks for all the help guys. Jack, seems like you have my exact model of boat and are also in Anchorage. Any chance I could look at your setup one of these days?

'nother new C-Dory and rookie boat owner

Boris, that Marine Wire place is terrific - approximately 1/4 the costs of the wire up here in AK. Thanks a bunch.

Running with the boat plug inserted from the outside?

Well, the one option I was considering was to replace the rear tank with dual side tanks....but after hearing that others run plugged from the outside, I'll go ahead and leave my configuration as is.

Running with the boat plug inserted from the outside?

I'll try to get better at teh search function on this site. I've spent about 12 hours searching for the answers to 15 or 20 questions, and am down to about 5 or 6. Sorry if I have missed an obvious one.

Running with the boat plug inserted from the outside?

Great responses, thanks. Point taken about the set of tapered plugs.
