    dingy strap ideas

thanks for all the info, and I think from now on I will just tie on with rope. also a second strap was added before towing, normally I will inflate and set up in marina. this was a short tow to JWM. only a few miles so we just left it up there. will also cross the straps next time didn't think...

    memorial weekend halibut

well over the long weekend we decided to do a little boat camping and forego the derby this weekend. we originally had plans to go to CQ to avoid crowds and fish, but wind and weather forecast were not looking that hot and no one wanted to tent camp in the rain. so we spend most the day...

    anyone ever use this system?

thanks Jack I appreciate it however light tides and low wind we were able to drift straight up and down under 1mph so we did not anchor, may give it a try next weekend. I don't think I will worry about cabin and will re run the line. happy memorial day.

    dingy strap ideas

so we put the dingy on for the first time as we are going to be staying out tonight overnight. I used basic ratchet straps but don't like how they make contact with the inflatable side. I put a cloth between the contact. but was curious if this will cause damage or what others recommend for a...

    anyone ever use this system?

so not trying to beat a dead horse. but I rigged up the anchor for tomorrow and wanted to make sure I have it right. as when I pull on the anchor end it does seem like the rode rubs up the cuddy area. it is hitched off on the port stern cleat. here is a pic

    anyone ever use this system?

when we do anchor we will be paying out all 300' that we have so this system will work good. I understand the not pulling from the stern to retrieve anchor and that the pressure is going to be on the bow due to pre running it. so I guess my only question i have left is once ready to pull...

Washdown pump switch and hose connection

originally we installed our wash down under the starboard hatch, underside where the batteries sit. however the auto pressure switch gave out on that and the replacement pump was too large to fit in same area and still have acess to pickup screen. So we relocated under splash-well between the...

    shrimp season 2014

well yesterday was the last day for our shrimp season. I will look forward to next year. this year my brother and his family were able to make it, witch doesn't happen often enough. we had good weather minus the first sat where we were struggling with wind tides and wind waves. we also...
