Just to 'close the loop' on the bottom paint discussion. since for the first year we will be keeping the boat in the water (Willamette River), we decided to go a head with the bottom paint. Pictures are posted in our Album under "modifications'. They first applied Interlux Interprotect...

Multiple House batteries on Tom Cat????

Gene - We are in the same boat (pun intended?) - Just bought a new TomCat that came with two starting batteries (34M Optima) and one 'house' battery (D34M Optima). (from your photos - we may have bought from the same place - Sportcraft Marina?). I have the same questions: (1) should we get a...

    Wallas Woes

Dan - Just my two cents, but I think a C-Brat/boat owner created 'user manual' is a great idea. As previously noted - I'm new to boating (and don't know anything about the Wallace), but would be glad to help edit. This might be a good model for other topics as well?

    Wallas Woes

I appreciate the input. The TC 255 'manual' I got was a notebook as well, generally consisting of copies of product brochures, etc (but still helpful). In terms of the Wallace - I suppose that if someone had the time, they could assemble all the advice that has been shared here on C-Brats site...

    Wallas Woes

We are brand new boat owners and have yet to try out our Wallas - but I'm trying to gather as much information as I can on its use. Of course there is a LOT of useful information on this forum - but is there suppose to be a manual that comes with the Wallas as well? The 'manual' we got with...

Well we did it and now are proud boat owners! Since the boat was already delivered from the factory - we need to add the bottom paint - but are getting it done fairly reasonably. I'll spend this weekend figuring out which navigation/electronics system to get. Thanks again to everyone's input.

    Potential new boat owners

Many thanks to John, Bob, Pete, Alok, “Byrdman” and the many others for your comments and excellent advice. I’m finding myself a little overwhelmed with all the information available and how many decisions there are to be made! But I guess part of the fun of being a boat owner is diving into...

Alok - I forgot to reply to your question "Are you going to keep your boat on the trailer or in the water?" [Haven't figured out how to insert excepts from other posts yet]. We will need to keep it in the water for now since I only have a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is not big enough to pull...
