SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Spent Saturday fishing on the Columbia North of Hayden Island. Weather was not so good (cold and rain, a little hail), but the First Mate caught her first salmon - a 15 pd Chinook. The Wallas kept cutting out on us - but that is a different story.

    04/12 - 04/13 - Cathlamet, WA

We hope to make it for the outing at Cathlamet. It would be our first C-Brat gathering and it would be great to meet other C-Brat owners!

    Bottom paint

We had 'bottom paint' applied - Interlux Micron Extra (with "Biolux" for anti-fouling) and Interlux Interprotect (2-part epoxy) primer. Our boat is kept in the water and it seems to be holding up well.

    Dimensions of Tomcat dinette table?

Matt - I just added an extention to our dinette table (I will post photos shortly) and the teak trim is the standard "U" shaped trim that the 3/4" laminate top fits snuggly into. So - absent some modification - not really room to slip plexi/glass under it. Mark
  7. Another idea 'borrowed' from others - divider beneath the helm seat creates great space for flare kit, etc.

    How many TC255's?

I should add that many of the QC issues noted by others appear to have been addressed (including - as far as I can tell - using SS brackets). There were some minor issues, all of which were remedied by the dealer (Sportcraft Marina). Good luck

    How many TC255's?

My TC is hull #66 which, as I understand how the hull ID number works, was build in November 2007.

    Dead Battery - ???

Hopefully I have understood your question correctly. I have a three batteries - two starting and one house (located beneath the forward dinette seat) hooked up to a three battery VSR cluster. The VSR is located in the transom, assessilbe through the port lazarette (see photo). You are correct...

    New C-Dory 29'

I agree that the C-29 looks pretty good in the water (much better than the initial photos on the trailer). I also agree that the interior seems a bit awkward - but perhaps I would have a different perspective once on board. The 'co-pilot's' view appears to be blocked by the head and the helm...

    Manually operated bilge pump?

Many thanks for all the feedback. It looks like at a minimum we should get a 'tube' bilge pump which look fairly inexpensive. If we end up spending more time in rougher seas - one of the other more robust types may be in order!

    Manually operated bilge pump?

I apologize if this question has been covered previously, but how important is it to have a manually operated (hand) bilge pump as a backup in case of battery failure? If a good idea - any suggestions? Thanks

    C-dory help in purchasing.

We bought our TC earlier this summer from Sportcraft Marina in Oregon City. We are first time boat owners and they have done a great job in answering our questions and helping us outfit the boat. I believe they have a number of CD 22 and 25s in their lot that you could take a look at. We...

    Managing TC-255 storage problems

Roger - Another great job. How difficult was it to remove the door and face frame? To attach the drawer rail/bottom tracks on the aft side - did you have to bolt through the cabin wall? I see the advantage in being better able to utilize this space as a pantry, etc, but I wonder about the...
