    Radar reflection

This is a timely topic - I was considering getting a radar reflector. Has any one tried the MOBRI or PLASTIMO radar reflectors referenced above on their C-Dory? How do these perform compared to the Davis "Echomaster"? The write-up for the 'Mobri" in Defender states that it should be mounted...

Kayak storage on a 22 Cruiser

I have been looking for a better system to either carry my Kayak (17 foot Perception Eclipse) or Dinghy and like the look of the Thule Crossroad (450) - but am concerned about one of the comments above that it doesn't have a high enough profile to clear the roof - Has anyone installed a Thule...

    Tomcats, Young and Old

We don't have a basis to compare to the TC 24 - but we sure like our TC255. Our gas mileage is similar to Dr. Bob - perhaps a little better but that's probably due to the time spent trolling for salmon. Its a great boat!

    Columbia River Spring Chinook 2008

Thanks C.W. for the comments - we are still rather new to all this but are really enjoying the boat. We've made a few more modifications, including a dinette table/seat extention which I plan to post to the album when I get the chance. You are right that the First Mate is "hooked" - she's...

    Columbia River Spring Chinook 2008

The First Mate caught her first Chinook (15 pounder) on the Washington side just upriver from Hayden Island last Saturday (April 5th). Good eats! She was using a chartreuse spinner and we were trolling in about 20 - 22 feet of water. Went out again this past weekend with no luck. It is a bit...

    new Boat Electronics

I also prefer having a large single multi-purpose screen (although I think I’m in bit of a minority owning a Lowrance LCX-113C Chart-plotter/Fish-finder). I have it flush mounted on the dash just to the left of the helm in front of the window post. I like the uncluttered look and it doesn’t...
