Hey Ken, I share some of your burdens, and I’m glad to know you are coming. I also look forward to meeting new friends to swap tales of our adventures. Karen and I have lived along the Columbia for 8 years, and have boated it the last 6 months. We enjoy winter days with an overcast, as the...

With all the great comments in this thread, it's easy to over look one from the past. We have all of E dock reserved, so no slip calls are needed. Each boat captain will register separately at the office when you arrive. There is power and water at this dock.

A great day for a boat ride

Hey Mike, glad you had a great cruise, and I enjoy reading about the systems that folks have put into their CD. My former travel trailer had 480 watts of solar on the roof, and 380 amp hours of storage. I always enjoyed watching the batteries recharge after making my morning coffee from the...

Harvey, yes on the Friday 10 am launch from Kalama. It is about 40 river miles. We will be taking the main channel around the west side of Puget Island, then turn SE to Cathlamet. It’s a few extra miles, but I’m still in the “give me lots of fathoms” mode of operation, especially on my first...

Hey Harvey, glad to see your fender in the bucket. Since we brought Zenith home, we have explored the Columbia from Washougal to Kalama. On Feb 5, we enjoyed 22 miles on a nice calm day. I’ve put some photos in my album. For the April get-together, we will launch at Kalama, which is a very...

Hello All, So far, there are 4 boats in the "Events Signups" for this gathering (Zenith, Tyboo, Blue~C, clayhubler). A few others have mentioned interest, but I'm not sure if they are planning to attend. Here is a nice video of the marina: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAzFNDfYeCE Hope...

E-Tec Warning Horn Stays On At Very Low Volume

Thanks for the quick replies. Someone on the etec forum has the same problem. I went out to the boat today, and here’s what I found. The horn is powered and engaged by the tach. The 2 wires from the horn go to the 8-pin connector on the tach. The purple wire is +12VDC. The tan wire is a...

E-Tec Warning Horn Stays On At Very Low Volume

Zenith has a 2014 E-Tec 90. During the last 30 minutes of our recent cruise, the engine warning horn came on, but at a very low volume. None of the warning lights in the tach were lit, and the engine ran fine, as it always does. Today, I went to where the boat is stored to do some preliminary...

I apologize if my Jan 22, 2020 10:16 am post offended anyone. I did not intend to sound bossy. I will check this thread a few times a week to see if we have more participants for Cathlamet. I am hoping that this event will lead to other events in the Columbia, which I would be happy to...
