    Mounting Location for Safe

Your point is well taken and I think about that when I type these things on a public forum.....However, after you've gained access to the safe and see that the cash and identification that I speak about has already been removed by its' owner, the intruder then must begin to think....hmmmm...

    Mounting Location for Safe

I have a "gun safe" mounted in the cabinet under the helm seat. (I don't know if you have the same available space as I know some folks have different configurations in that location). My cabinet has a single shelf. The safe measures 5 inches tall 8 1/2 inches wide and 11 1/2 inches deep. It...

    Photos are weird (gone)

I too have the same postings come up. When I click on "Captain's Cat" to view his photos, I get numerous messages saying Charlie is "Deprecated"..... ......I don't think Charlie is losing value but that is what it is inferring.

How small of a wave can capsize my boat?

I read an article in this morning's newspaper that a "22 Foot Cabin Cruiser" rolled in the surf at Ocean Shores on Monday 9/2/12. It stated that the 4 occupants tossed overboard were safe and that it was Captained by a 64 year old man. Apparently the vessel lost engine power. Just "google"...

How small of a wave can capsize my boat?

Thanks for posting those pix Roger. On second viewing, perhaps they are not 6 footers, but at least a viewer gets an idea of what the C-Dory was able to endure.

How small of a wave can capsize my boat?

Years ago "captd" Darrel, posted pictures of the 22' C-Dory that he owned at that time. The pictures are still in captd's photo album, although, I'm too computer challenged to transfer them on to this thread. The pictures show his 22' being tossed around in the surf (ie: Big Waves) on the...

    A Wake(up) Story

In 2001 when our C-Dory was a 16' Cruiser, I slept on the boat several nights secured to a mooring buoy on the East Side of Clark Island. On several occasions in the middle of the night, I was violently rocked by huge waves that made me feel as if I was going to fly out of the v-berth. I would...

DOH!!! So I can't park here?

Mark, you know darn well why she is smiling......No officer showed up to give her a ticket for illegal parking and in the process of being rescued, she ended up with the house keys for one of the firemen.

DOH!!! So I can't park here?

She certainly looks happy about it. The last time she tried that, the car probably made it into the water and she had to wait for the car to dry out before she could drive it again.

DOH!!! So I can't park here?

I was attempting to convey, that had he moored farther from the dock, she would have missed him.....

DOH!!! So I can't park here?

Too bad the Captain moored so close to the dock....

"The End of the Affair" Colin Firth-Narrated MP3 A

Totally agree! You and I even agree on the Twin 50's (Even though mine are Johnsons......however in reality my Johnsons are actually Suzukis like yours but with the white covers that says "Johnson").

"The End of the Affair" Colin Firth-Narrated MP3 A

No problem...just one of the intricacies of our C-Brat Family site.... You should have seen the postings in 2003 when this site first originated....very little pertained to boating....

"The End of the Affair" Colin Firth-Narrated MP3 A

If one looks at the upper portion of the "thread" there is a caption that says "General Chat". Although Brent's post has apparently nothing to do with boats, our site designers created a forum entitled "General Chat". The "General Chat" forum was created so members could discuss anything...

    Venture 29 Questions....

Frequently I drive past Mastermarine in Mt. Vernon (Wa.) and look over to see the 29' C-Dory sitting there awaiting a purchaser. Last week as we drove past it, I said to Carol, "someday someone is going to prove us wrong and purchase that vessel and get a really good deal since the price has...

    Nice Change in the Weather

I hope I didn't smell  like I just came from Gilligan's Island since I was hot and sweaty from cruising in our TWO DAY HOT SUMMER in Washington.

    Nice Change in the Weather

Ruth and Joe, it was great to see and visit the two of you again! You have always been such gracious hosts to us when we drop in to visit you on your palatial Ranger Tug. In our community of C-Brats, one never has to journey far to find friends. It was great to see Patti on Thursday and Mark...

Boat on the rocks; Eliza Island, Bellingham Bay

I didn't see it there on Thursday when I cruised between Eliza and Lummi Island... but then I didn't circumnavigate Eliza either. (Mark, nice to see you, Meredith and her parents on Friday morning.)

1989 Marben Marine C-Dory Flyer - Great Stuff!

Someone, here in Arlington (Washington) has a 21 Offshore. I've only seen it once driving by on the highway.....and I've never been able to figure out who owns it. To my knowledge, the owners have never logged into this site. There have been pictures of it posted on this site however.
