    Pathfinder or 4 Runner V6 3.5L tow CD22 Cruiser?

Roger Not saying your Isuzu, or any other make and model for that matter will not tow a 22 fine. Just passing on what my insurance agent said about towing over the rated limit of the tow vehicle. You hear alot of folks talk about how good this rig or that rig tows with out knowing their ratings...

    Pathfinder or 4 Runner V6 3.5L tow CD22 Cruiser?

A couple of years ago we met a gentleman at Cap Sante launch going to the FHGT that towed his 22 up from Colorado with a Toyota Tacoma V6. I belive the 4Runner and Tacoma are based on the same chassis. The only thing that I will say is be careful, if you are towing over your rated limit and...

Would you buy agin or go another way ?

Well I'll tell ya, I would buy another C-Dory but I think I would go for a 25 instead of the 22 I have now. Like the idea of more room. Can't tell if the world is shrinking or its me getting bigger

    Prop spin while towing

Couple of questions, first, Larry what kind of kicker and about how long did it take to ruin the seals. I have a Yamaha that I have been towing in the down postion and in neutral for years with no problems. Second Jim, why reverse as opposed to forward. I understand the idea of not having the...

    Mastercylinder Question

Roy Harry is correct disc brakes have a higher working pressure both on cars and trailers The easist thing do do is just bite the bullet and get a new actuator. Please don't try to modify anything. They will cost more than a drum actuator but it is your brakes

Choice of kicker size for a 22' Cruiser?

I have a 9.9 Yamaha high thrust which I really like. Not much more in weight than their 8hp. It also has a small alternator which helps. Karl is correct about twin cylinder vs single. A buddy of mine has a 8hp Tohatsu on his CD-16, good motor but the tilt bar keeps letting go at speeds and his...

OB Maintenance schedule, life expectancy, etc

Duckdog I noticed you live in Auburn, don't know if you are familiar with Auburn Sports and Marine? They do good work, have or can get any part,or parts you may ever need, but they are proud of their stuff. I use them quite often as I am just up the hill. Just a little FYI. Would like to see...

    Trailer Question.

On the EZ Loader trailer that I have I can't even raise the bottom front roller high enough to make contact with the keel of the boat. I remember my last trailer, Escort, was the same way.

    Trailer Question.

Sunbeam I can't really tell you exactly why, but this is my fourth trailer boat and all the lower rollers have been this way. I did not bother to ask the whys and what fors when I was told , maybe I should have. I have yet to have any problems though with this set up.

    ez load trailer wheel bearings?

Jim If you have a trailer supply store near you just take your trailer model number and they will be able to fix you up. Six Robblees is a good place to start. they had everthing I needed to do a complete brake and bearing job on mine

    Trailer Question.

I was told the same thing, by a boat dealer, that the lower roller is there only to keep the boat from strikeing the trailer during load/unload. And should not be in contact when boat is resting on trailer

    economy of 90 vs 115 on a CD22

tbag No it's mpg's Alittle either side of 3mpg's depending on water conditions, load and my throttle hand. Really, I don't think thats all to bad for a boat at a planing speed. I have trim tabs and a permatrim, I like and use the tabs, but am not totaly convinced on the permatrim. But that is...

    economy of 90 vs 115 on a CD22

tbag As I said I pretty much stay away from WOT so I don't know that I have ever used the full 115hp, but I like knowing it is sitting back there if I do need it. I don't run real heavy for the most part. Two batteries, kicker 2 adults, 50lbs of down rigger lead fishing gear, grub and drinks...

    economy of 90 vs 115 on a CD22

tbag Setting the hp rating aside, I do like the extra 25hp, I have to say I like the yamaha. They are I feel both good products. I will say that there are some things about the merc I liked better such as a bigger alternator, but that was belt driven like a car. One more thing to check or have...

    economy of 90 vs 115 on a CD22

tbag I repowered my 22 from a 90 Merc to a 115 Yamaha, both 4 strokes. I can say that the 90 was quieter at idle, and up to about 1500 to 1800 rpms and the 115 is quieter running at speeds. The mileage is so close as to not be much of a factor. But I very rarely get to within a grand of the...
