As a practicing veterinarian in the lower 48 I can wholeheartedly concur with Doc's observations in his practice. Breeds of dogs are developed for certain jobs and however "cool" they are on Tv or movies these are very well trained animals in controlled conditions. If one becomes informed on...

I too found that the factory swim step/ ladder is lacking. on our 25 we replaced the two step garlick with a windline three step and added hand rails outboard.
I have used a jeep cherokee crd to tow my cd 25 no probs gets 14 mpg towing. As far as towing the cherokee there is a neutral switch next to the low range selector that allows towing the jeep. Wish i was towing the 25 now but there is still a two foot ice berm in front of the garage its housed in.

My wife and I towed the cd-25 to spring canyon boat launch on 5-26-08 and found that yes you could launch if one wanted to do so beyond the reach of the high and dry dock. There were indeed several 17 to 20 ft aluminum types doing this, however we decided to back track about 14 miles and launch...
I read Pats post from Apr 28 2008. That would have been C-Knight enroute from Master Marine to Ephrata when we picked up our new
cd-25. If anyone is going to Lake roosevelt memorial day weekend might see you there.
