I've been reading up on sea anchors, and was thinking it might be a good thing to have on board, just in case. If both engines are dead and seas are rising, we can't really heave-to like a sailboat, so I can see the benefit of the sea anchor. And it may allow me to focus on getting the engine...

In case it helps someone, I finally got the seals delivered, installed them on the drive shaft on the shift rod... very easy job. Couldn't get the shift rod holder off, the black plastic circular part you pry off, in the pic. There's an O Ring under there I wanted to replace while I was at it...
