Oh I suppose I could hang 20 X 2 Hp around it and it would be fun to watch it stay in one position at WOT's! :D

    Twin 20"s on a CD-16?

This subject has most likely been covered at some time on the C-Brats site, but, I'll ask the question since I've seen no recent post on this particular boat/motor combination. I'm still trying to determine just what boat/motor combination to buy. After looking at used CD-16's and 19's I think I...

    composting toilet

I can see from the last few post: the first comedian doesn't stand a chance, and I'm so confused about potti or no-potti that I might just hold everything in for 5 days and watch the explosion!!! :D Is it time to change the subject yet??? Thanks, Jim

    composting toilet

Thanks Charlie, I thought the composting type of pottie might be intended for the bigger boats, but, wanted to check for sure. :D Jim

    composting toilet

After reading everything in this thread: 1. I'm about ready to have someone carry me to the hospital to see if there's any way to get me to stop laughing!! 2. Is there a composting type of pottie that will fit under the v-berth of a CD-19?? :D Thanks, Jim

    Fuel for 2 stroke motors

Thanks to everyone for your input about the E-10 and 2 stroke motors. It's sure interesting to see the experiences of others on the web site and the way folks are willing to share the information. I visited the manufacture's web site and the 1998 year was the oldest motors they listed...

    Fuel for 2 stroke motors

Hi Larry, that's a great suggestion. It's also one that I had not thought of in the process of collecting information before I buy another boat. Years ago it would have been one of the first things I would have thought of. I love old age:it's better than young death! :embarrased

    Fuel for 2 stroke motors

Thanks to everyone for the replies. The reason I have a concern about alcohol content in the fuel is because I refueled my boat at a station several years ago (about the time alcohol was starting to be added to gasoline) and the pump wasn't marked as having alcohol added. As a result, the second...

    Fuel for 2 stroke motors

This is for the C-Brats that have made all or part of the Inside Passage trip. Is there a good supply of gasoline through the Inside Passage with little or no alcohol added that a 2 stroke motor can use without burning or locking up a cylinder? I assume the term "boat motor fuel" still applies...

Good information for Inside Passage cruise

Chester, you're right the last one should be www.nwboat.com/ I got carried away with the periods. I was really impressed with all of the information contained in the 20 front pages. Someone would have to do a lot of research on their own to dig up all of that information seperately. Thanks for...

Good information for Inside Passage cruise

Hi again, while I still haven't purchased a C-Dory yet (still saving money), I am still gathering information for a cruise up the Inside Passage. I thought I'd pass along some web sites that have really good information (many of the C-Brats in the NW may know of the sites) about facilities...

    Inside Passage

Hi Boris, thanks for your input on thr trip up the Inside. You're right, I think a good guide book is in order before starting a trip as well as the information the "Brats" that have made the trip, gave me. Tom, I sure envy your being able to visit some of my favorite places. I love Skagway. We...

    Inside Passage

Hi Larry, thanks for the links to the Inside Passage information. I've traveled both directions through the passage on the Columbia and Radiance of the Seas on a cruise and that's what got me interested in making the trip in a C-Dory. Big difference I know, but, I still have a wonderful spirit...

    Inside Passage

Some time ago I asked if there was printed information on refueling stops, food, slips, customs, etc. in the Inside Passage from Bellingham to Skagway and someone on the C-Brats forum listed a web site where that information can be downloaded. Of all of the information I've downloaded, I'm...

    Camper Enclosure

Thanks for the information on the enclosure. As I get information on this forum, I access the websites and load them to "my favorites" so that I can return at any time and recover it. So many boats, so little time! :D Jim

    Camper Enclosure

Well, I'm still trying to figure out which C-Dory to buy and a couple of questions that I have for any C-Brat that own's a CD-19 are: 1. Is there a quality camper enclosure available for the CD-19? 2. Who would the manufacturer be? 3. What is the approximate cost of a enclosure? The other part...

Solid Rear Bulkhead for 16'-19' C-Dorys

Thanks for the last picture Joe. Didn't think about looking in another area for the final product. DUH! :D He really did a great job on the bulkhead; it looks like it came with the boat. Jim

Solid Rear Bulkhead for 16'-19' C-Dorys

Hi Roger, thanks for the photos. I figured that someone had built a bulkhead. Joe did a fine job on it and the finished product looks great. I don't think I saw a photo of the job after he finished the fiberglassing in of the bulkhead to the boat. I wonder if there's a fiberglass panel available...

Solid Rear Bulkhead for 16'-19' C-Dorys

I may have missed the thread, but, has anyone tried to shape and install a solid bulkhead in place of a drop curtain on a 16' cruiser, 16' angler, or a 19' angler? I see the advantage of doing it from a noise level perspective as well as truly making the cabin weatherproof. To save weight I...

    Heavy Seas Boating

The last time I saw weather like that was in 1965. We pulled out of Hong Kong Harbor to ride out a typhoon and had water breaking over the flight deck. It was 60 feet from the waterline to flightdeck level. Down in the hanger bays (3) there were expansion joints that were around 24 inches wide...
