    Fishing Puget Sound

What a difference a week makes. Fished from about 1:00 to dusk on Saturday and caught one lousy chum. We fished west point for about three hours, then north of Shilshole for about an hour and a half. Didn't see any fish on the fish finder at west point, but saw a lot south of Shilshole. Man...

    Fishing Puget Sound

Hey Dan. I use a strip of herring on the upper hook of my hoochie leader. I'm hoping I can make it out this weekend. Gotta move a cord of wood, and do a few other things, but I'm hoping I can do either Saturday or Sunday. I still think we've got a week or two of decent fishing. It hasn't...

    Fishing Puget Sound

Nice fish Lyle. Yeah. Group fishing event sounds great to me. Although we might be running out of silvers soon. Dan. Sounds like you were doing about the same thing we were. We were in about 250 ft of water, and fishing between 70-80 feet. We were running hot spot flashers, with white...

    Fishing Puget Sound

Sounds good Dan. I think it should be good again over there. I'll let you know if we are heading out. If not I'll make a suggestion of where I would fish. Not that it's necessarily worth anything, but at least you would ahve someone to blame if you don't have much luck. :) What kind of...

    Removing paint with oven cleaner?

Be Careful. It's bad luck to change the name of a boat. There's some sort of ceremony you are supposed to perform. You certainly don't want incur the wrath of the "C-Gods".

    New C-Brat Stickers

I'd love a couple stickers. How do I pay for them? Thanks, Ross

    Fishing Puget Sound

Hi Dan, I was off West Point. Thought about going up between Ballard and Edmonds, but decided to hang out south there. Sure was a nice day out. I was surprised to see very few boats fishing. Heck maybe we just got lucky. The creel counts here looks like it wasn't that great...

    Fishing Puget Sound

Got seven nice silvers on Saturday. Nothing crazy, just a nice steady bite all day. Two over fourteen pounds, they are getting bigger. :-)

    UP orDown

I've always kept my C-Dory motor up. I trailered my skiff with a 40 Tohatsu down, in accordance with the manual. The skeg below the cavitatation plate is now bent, so I trailer it up instead. I probably hit it on the cement backing out of my driveway. Kind of sucked since the motor is brand...

22 Classic Angler - Good deal?

Patrout. Good luck on the boat. I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. If you like good mexican food go to El Sombrero downtown. The Hangar down on the waterfront is a great place to have a beer, and if you like a good dive, head by Louie's over on Douglas island. He's right. You should...

Need right size kicker motor for 22' C-dory

I know that some of the manufacturers package other motors with their name. They do this only on some horsepowers, so they can complete their product line. I believe it's Merc that uses Tohatsu's lower HP motors. Someone mentioned getting a 15hp motor for the kicker. If you are interested in...

    Bilge Pump Operation

I had mystery water in my cabin as well. We had a rainstorm here in Kirkland a few months ago. I had my boat sitting out uncovered, and ended up with about two inches of water on the floor of the cabin. Yes, I know I'm a moron. For about the next week, water would intermittently drain out...

    Halibut

Interesting discussion. I'm originally from Juneau, and now live in the Puget Sound area. Many times, I've stopped fishing when I was far from my limit, even though I could have gotten more. I thought I had enough, and didn't need to impact the species anymore. I think this is an unusual...

    Fishing Puget Sound

Those 16' Anglers seem like nice fishing boats. That sucks to have to throw them back. I had to throw back a 25# king a few weeks ago. Oh well I guess it's still fun to catch 'em, and it's better than having no fish. Eighteen lbs. I wish I had caught that one during the Everett Coho Derby...

    Fishing Puget Sound

Hola People. I've been fishing up toward Mukilteo for the last four weekends. I'm averaging about 2.5 silvers per day up there, but would like to fish out of Shilshole this weekend. Anyone been fishing over off West Point lately? From what I read it sounds like there might be some decent...

    Top Racks

I'm interested to see what you come up with. I've got some pretty big crab pots that I would love to get up there, and out of the way.

22 Classic Angler - Good deal?

Brian, I have an '87 Angler that I just bought in April. I'm actually from Juneau, but live in the Puget Sound area now, but my friends up there told me about this boat last week. My recommendation is that you hold out for a slightly later model. That boat is pretty flat bottomed. C-Dorys...

Need right size kicker motor for 22' C-dory

I have a 1987 Angler. I run a 70 HP Tohatsu, and a 9.9 Nissan (Tohatsu) kicker. I use it for trolling, but can do about six Nautical Miles Per hour on it. I'd proably get a Honda four stroke if I was going to buy a new one right now. Generating some electricity would be nice.

    Fish box..????

My '87, 22 Angler came with a live well on the port side. I assumed it was stock, but maybe the guy added it. It's really to small to be any use, so I am in the process of adding another battery and locating it there. I have a platform that I use to clean fish that fits over my transom. I...
