CD 25 Sale Fell Out-- For Sale Again--$80K

Don, if it does not sell immediately, maybe I just need to daul it back down to SD and live on it for awhile. Do you know of any marinas doing liveaboards now? I am really SICK of the East Bay. :x

CD 25 Sale Fell Out-- For Sale Again--$80K

Steve,(Seabran) sorry we never met on the water. With previous boats, both larger and smaller than the CD25, I have been all over the Delta and offshore as if intending to wear them out the first year. I even did the liveaboard bit for almost a year. With one boat, I was surfing the big...

CD 25 Sale Fell Out-- For Sale Again--$80K

Byrdman, No worries. 8) I did not take your comments that way at all. I was probably reacting to a couple of e-mails without realizing it. Thanks for the comments. Don

Last pic. Unzip the windscreen and you have a Bimini top. Don

CD 25 Sale Fell Out-- For Sale Again--$80K

It is hard to convey the innovation, attention to detail or the quality of some of the equipment, so I will just show a pic or two. Note the lack of visible clutter on the top. You can also see the aux. control station.

CD 25 Sale Fell Out-- For Sale Again--$80K

Byrdman, Thanks, everything is OK for the most part. The reason for the "probably" is that I'm still trying to talk myself into keeping it. So far, no luck. The fact that the main engine only has just over 40 hours on it should give a clue to the reason for letting it go. It mostly just...

CD 25 Sale Fell Out-- For Sale Again--$80K

Edit: This is an alert for anyone who may be looking for a loaded CD25. I put the boat up for sale briefly (2 days)in this thread a couple of months ago. I then pulled it to check out marinas in San Diego, where I would like to relocate. The San Diego possibility did not pan out, but during...

    Handling a Large Wave

Also, maybe I spent too much time in deep V hulls, but the thought of using trim tabs around really big, steep waves gives me the willies. It's questionable whether or not they can be used for positive effect on the front of a wave, and absolutely scary to contemplate on the back side.

    Handling a Large Wave

Interesting question. I have no doubt that the analyses are correct. I'll just throw in my $.02 for whatever it is worth. My first instructor, back in the fifties, said to always approach waves at the 45 degrees mentioned here. I followed those instructions religiously for a long time, but...

    Raymarine-vs-Garmin-vs-Lowrance

I chose the C-80 after checking out what was available. I like the size since it allowed me to mount it directly on top of the dash in front of the helm. I can easily see over it, and it's close enough to access the buttons and options without leaving the seat. The smaller size mounted closer...

    beaching a c dory 22

TyBoo, I used to see brass plaques which many skippers placed prominently on the bridge of their boats. Perhaps you have seen them? "WHEN THE DRAFT OF YOUR VESSEL EXCEEDS THE DEPTH OF THE WATER,YOU ARE MOST ASSUREDLY AGROUND!"

    Kicker Question

Jennykatz, it can be done. The biggest problem I have run into in the past with trying to run an engine as both a kicker and power for a dinghy regards shaft length. Optimum shaft length for a kicker is 20". (long shaft) A dinghy or inflatable works best with a 15' shaft.(short shaft) You...

    Kicker Question

Al, how fast do you want to go with your kicker? I'm assuming it's not your only source of power. With only a couple of caveats, I don't think you will have any problems with your Honda 10 on your 22 CD. I have a CD25 which is quite a bit heavier. I'm running a Honda 15 kicker(150...

    cd 25 and mpg

I have a CD25 with the Honda 150. It's loaded fairly heavily. Aux. helm station, 15 kicker on a bracket, swim platform, full electronics, four batteries, marine head, fridge, camper canvas, Wallas, windlass, radar arch w/radar, etc. I'm running a 14.5"D X 15pitch A medium-fast cruise (under 20...

No hard feelings, harrassment, preaching or any other negative. Just a quiet but firm no smoking on our boat.

    anchor system cd 25

Twenty feet of chain with a 14 lb. Delta on one end and 200 feet of rode on the other. That anchor fits well on the new 25 bow roller/winch. Self launches and parks flawlessly so far. I have used Bruce on my last two boats, and the Delta is sharper nosed and penetrates better than the Bruce on...
