Changing Battery Location on my tomcat 255

Just to throw in a data marker....this boat was originally "Knoty Lady" and the operator was somewhat active on this site. I recall seeing discussions of the electrics when new. And this boat does, indeed have the fresh water tank on the port side ahead of the refrigerator. Randall

Here's the galley and interior: Over the past two weeks, I've added hatches for controller access and sealed the battery box (ex bait well) that leaked badly from new. [/img]

    SOLD - 2009 C-Dory Tom Cat 255, $79,000 (Port Angeles, WA)

Yesterday, I had 100 hour services done on both engines. They are fine, but a non-repairable defect was found on the starboard power trim/tilt. I have ordered a replacement which should arrive 5/23. I should have it installed shortly thereafter.

    SOLD - 2009 C-Dory Tom Cat 255, $79,000 (Port Angeles, WA)

I was told, by the husband of the woman from whom I bought the boat, that her Uncle was the original owner. Apparently, he was an engineer so he wanted all the latest bells and whistles built into the boat, and specified some custom wiring and components at the factory. He, I was told...

I bought this boat last year; unfortunately my wife has developed medical issues and can't join me on the water. It's too big for me to handle alone, so I have to let it go. 2009 C-Dory Tom Cat 255, $79,000 (Port Angeles, WA) • Twin Honda Marine 150 HP outboards with ~350 hours and Digital...

    Garbage

I understand differentiating garbage waste from food waste. But...eggshells, fruit peels, fish heads, chicken bones, onion peels, etc. I'm not sure I could avoid food waste entirely. Randall

    Daily Laugh 2

A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around, looking for valuables when a voice in the dark said, 'Jesus knows you're here.' He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off, and froze. When he heard nothing more, he shook his head and continued. Just as...

    stabalizing binoculars

ATN is a respected maker of night vision scopes, so I wouldn't worry too much about sketchy quality. I would be concerned that these are digital, not optical devices. Peering into the eye cups will be more like looking into a digital camera view finder than traditional binoculars. Also, once...

    Boating, anyone?

I think the big CA waves were from last Friday's big blow. We lost power for 3 1/2 days from that one, and held our breath through this last one. Thankfully, only a couple really short interruptions from this one. Randall

    Tomcat 255 fuel tanks

If I were faced with this situation (touch wood), I think I would rig a recirculating pump and filter and let it run for hours until I was sure the fuel in each tank was clean. But, I run additional large filters/water separators already, so maybe that's all you really need. Cutting openings...
