    Coaming Pocket

I have a 2006 C-Dory 25' Cruiser. It has port and starboard coaming pockets. They measure approximately 10" x 34" outside, 7 3/4" x 32" inside and are 5" deep. I need a replacement (I won't tell you the sad story). SSI, the manufacturer last made these in 2009. They have a 10" longer...

Galvanic Isolator -- When to Use

On my 4-month old (for me) 2006, the 110v switch panel has a switch for the charger and a switch for the isolator. I turned the charger switch on yesterday, but the little green "on" light did not come on. I looked at the charger itself, and its indicators showed that it was functioning. I...

Galvanic Isolator -- When to Use

When I am attached to shore power, do I always want the galvanic isolator on? When I am at sea, I assume that it doesn't function, just as the charger doesn't, right?

    Replacement coaming box

Thanks, I'll try that, but there are cracks around most of the screw holes, so I think it is not going to be pretty, even if only silicone is holding it. Any thoughts on my lengthening the opening and putting a 42" long pocket in to replace the 32"? Don

    Replacement coaming box

Pockets. SSI doesn't have my size anymore, but I may be able to get one about 10 inches longer -- same height and depth. My current one is 32" long. If I increase the size to 42", are there supporting structures that I will have to cut, thereby weakening the cockpit?

    Replacement coaming box

On my recently purchased 2006 25' cruiser, the starboard coaming box had been glued in place. It will likely break if I remove it. Are replacement boxes available?

Those darn leaky cockpit hatches in C-Dory 25's

I couldn 't find the hatch pictures on the Anna Leigh. Could you give more directions? Where did you find the better gasket?

    Crease in Isinglass

What you say is exactly what I have been doing, and it seems to be working, bit by bit. The sun moved, so my warm, flat place is no longer available. I moved the worst window into the hall on a carpet, put a towel on top and piled books along the crease to flatten it more. I'll report back in...

    Crease in Isinglass

I had the isinglass curtains on the floor to roll them around a foam core with fleece blankets, but they got moved and folded, put out in the sun and left out overnight. I found them this morning and some of the windows have pretty severe creases, but not cracks. I now have them out in the...

    Great advice. Thanks.

    camper back questions

My camper back bimini seems designed to stow forward. It does not have an aft pole. When I drop it down aft -- which makes getting on and off the boat much easier -- it gets too close to the engines. I thought I would install some kind of block or cradle on the horizontal stainless steel...

    Anchor, Chain, Rode

The guy at West Marine recommended their 8.5 lb anchor (looks like a danforth type) with 15' of 1/4 inch chain and 150' of 3/8 inch line. He thought their package with a 13lb anchor, 15' of 1/4" chain and 150" of 1/2 inch line was more than I needed, even though the lighter package is rated for...

    Bilge Pump Wiring

If I follow what you guys are saying, if I turn the bilge pump switch on at the electrical panel by the helm, the cabin bilge pump will go on, whether or not there is water in the bilge. If I turn the switch off, the pump will (sorry, should) turn on automatically when water gets into the...

C-Dory for Dummies - Manual for Marine Head

The first thing to do is lower the lid on the head. That exposes the brand name: SeaLand Dometic. But I was at home, and your replies saved a trip to the boat that I didn't have time for because I had to go to a day-long Bar Mitzva celebration. When I got to the website I was able to...

C-Dory for Dummies - Manual for Marine Head

My 2006 25' Cruiser has a marine head operated by a pedal. I do not know how to use it, and there are no instructions in all of the manuals and papers I got with the boat. Can anyone describe how to operate and maintain the head or tell me how I can get an owner's manual for it?

    Thanks

Thanks for your help in my buying a C-Dory and thanks for your help in the issues that confront a new owner, new boater. Without you, it wouldn't have happened; and I am enjoying it (including the hassles) more than I can say.

    Anchor, Chain, Rode

Maiden voyage on my 2006 - 25 -- lost the anchor, chain and rode at Angel Island in SF Bay-- got caught on something and had to be sacrificed so that we could get home. Any advice on the best weight of Bruce or Delta anchor (the owner's manual says those are the anchors compatible with the...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

I pick up my just-purchased 2006 25 Cruiser tomorrow morning in Oxnard to tow it to its new home in the Berkeley Marina. Professional driver, not me. So I haven't done anything other than deal with the hassle of purchase, transportation, registration, and making arrangements --or, in the case...

    Towing

I have a 25' cruiser with twin 90's and an EZLoader tandem axel trailer. How large and powerful a vehicle do I need to tow this pair?
  20. D

    Is $60,000 a fair price: 2006 25' Cruiser with twin 90's?

What if it has 400 hours? It does have a trailer, and a good one, and a charger but not an inverter. Don't worry that it's past 3 pm. Thanks again
