    MPG on a new 22 angler with a 70

With a light to moderate load, you might want to power with a 90 hp engine. It won't be working nearly as hard and you'll probably get better economy. When you carry a full load, on the odd occasion, you'll have the power to get you where you want to go. What is your intended use of the boat...

    Legend has passed

We sure will miss Roger. He loved to talk C-Dory and fishing and hunting. We loved his trombone solos, playing taps at sunset at the FHCBGTs. We were sitting on the porch of the Turn Point light station keeper's quarters on Stuart Island one July day in 2018 and he pulled up in his 25. Roger...

    SOLD - 1993 C-Dory Cruiser

Our jaws (Kim's and mine) hit the floor on this one! No, absolutely, no way can you two leave the C-Brats! Jim said it best, "You two have always been "the heart" of this C-Brat community..." Joe and Ruth, you're both the best and we hope you'll still come to gatherings if you are boatless in...

    Inverter use

You need to install a 12 volt refrigerator. A 120 volt fridge will run off an inverter, but you lose a lot when inverting from 12 volts to 120 volts. You can look into getting a 12 volt/120 volt Engel or ARB Fridge/Freezer. Many on C-Brats have done it. Very efficient.

    Edmonds Area 10 Coho

Went Friday with a friend on his boat. Boy, it was rough with a west wind against the outgoing tide, we were rolling! Fishing 55-75 and got our 4 coho! My buddy forgot the landing net, no worries, I told him, "We'll just act like commercial salmon trollers. They don't use a net, just get the...

    Edmonds Area 10 Coho

WZ: Chinook retention ended 8/31 in Area 10. I think people targeting them were doing well up until the end. Dwight, is "coconuts" code for coho? Maybe you could give us a Winter Harbor report on a separate thread.

    Edmonds Area 10 Coho

I have fished this area 3 times in the past week and the Coho are in! 2 Limits this morning by 8:30 am fishing with Peter Jamero fellow C-Brat. 3 limits this past Saturday. Using hoochies and flashers. My go-to rigs have been the dark green Ace Hi Fly behind a red stripe green flasher. The...

Down-rigger response time and longer boats.

The more you fish, the better you get at it, pure and simple.

Down-rigger response time and longer boats.

I like to only drop back my bait/lure about 15 feet behind the boat before clipping into the downrigger release. This allows the least amount of slack to the rod after a fish hooks up and pulls the line from the release. Of course, I reel up all the tension so the rod loads up well. I have...
