Easier entry to V berth on CD-25

Check with Pat and Patty Anderson. I believe they removed their bulkhead. Edit: http://www.c-brats.com/modules.php?set_ ... _photo.php

    New Suzi!

Pat, you will like the Northern Lite. We have the NO 10-2. You will find that you’re going to feel top heavy as compared to the Alaskan. If there is too much sway, consider air bags to level it out, and a Helvig BigWig sway bar! Congratulations to you and Patty!

Overnight parking boat ramp and marina list

Bob, another option would be a spreadsheet. The problem with either a spreadsheet or a database is someone would have to take ownership to control input.

22 Cruiser, How To Get The Bilge Water Out?

Lloyd, the newer 22’s have a raised level floor over the cockpit. On the centerline it is approx 3” above the hull, if my memory is correct.

    Suez Canal

Per news(?) outlets, there could a Suez created toilet paper shortage, too. Rumor is the bulk ships carrying paper fiber are wiped out.

    C-Brats Emeritus

Hi Marty, Diana and I sold our CDory last year. We miss the boat, but we’re not using it enough to justify hanging on. Our small fleet of canoes and kayaks, plus an aluminum skiff satisfies our need to be on the water, but I suspect we will downsize again as time moves on. I wish you and Dot...

    Uncle Norm's Orca Fin

Gary, no experience with it, but to me that looks very much like a crudely made competitor to the Permatrim. I believe they will aid steering, but I’m not sure how much.

    Broughton Archipelago

Peter, we have launched at Telegraph Cove and Alder Bay RV. The last time was 2006, so my recollection might be outdated, but I would not recommend Alder Bay. It had an exposed ramp, and the RV park would not allow you to leave the boat in the water overnight Telegraph Cove had much nicer...

Looking/Learning on GPS/Satellite tracking devices of today

I’m another vote for the Garmin InReach. We use it any time we are traveling to let family know where we are, and to let them contact us if there is an emergency at home. As I often bird hunt alone, it’s always in my vest to summon help if I am injured or need assistance.

No, the 25 is not for sale

Ummmm, I’ve had more than one PM about selling a boat I don’t own.

No, the 25 is not for sale

    I don’t own a 25. Actually, I do not currently own a CDory. I’m hoping to pick up a 16 in the future, but I still don’t own a 25.

    GROG

Peter, what a great post! I do however have to question your judgement. After reading Farley Mowat’s masterpiece, “The Boat That Wouldn’t Float” and learning about Screech and all of its traditions, I decided I had to partake of Screech. So... Diana and I, on our honeymoon in BC hit a good...

    Your choice of boat?

I have been infatuated with the R21 for years, but I believe the CD22 is a wiser choice. It has more room, better rough water capabilities, and engines that are easier and less expensive to maintain or repair.

    Daydream is Getting Re-powered!

Pat, I think you’ll like the Suzuki, and the team at Sportcraft. My only other comment is to make certain you get a good walk through with the digital panel. I found it a bit difficult to initially understand. Best to you and Patty! Steve

    New Repower

Ken, do you have the long shaft Suzuki 2.5? I tried the short shaft on our old boat, without a great deal of success. I think the long shaft would do OK.

    Deck chairs for TomCat

The newer GCI Pico chairs are great... until they’re not. I leaned over to pick up up a dropped item and had the aluminum casting break.
