    Outboard hydraulic lifter rams

I have twin Honda 40’s on my 2006 C Dory transom. The port engine just started giving me trouble when I lift it out of the water. It makes a grinding kind of noise and only comes half-way up. I’m wondering if there’s a place to add hydraulic oil to each lifter ram. The starboard side works...

    Polish time

I want Salish C to look her best for the C-Dory get together in Friday Harbor next month. SC is a 2006 22’ cruiser and her gel coat is looking tired. I’ve tried a few commercial polishes applied by hand and the results have been disappointing. Any suggestions for product and buffer tools...

    Permatrim tabs

    Trim tab hydraulic rams

Because of a dumb mistake launching my C-Dory I broke both trim tab hydraulic rams off the stern of the boat. Fortunately it was a clean break, so I just need to replace them. Where do I find those? Anyone had to buy a new set of rams before? Thanks, Tom

The aft pump comes on automatically as it should when rainwater fills the cockpit. My problem is that it comes on late. My boat’s in the water at Port...

    Wallas stove fuel

I bet this has been discussed before but either I didn’t see it or don’t remember seeing it. So here it is: my new to me C-Dory came with about a gallon reservoir under tje sink. I think it’s kerosene because of its color and smell. It’s now less than half-full and I’m wondering what fuel I...

    Battery charging

I’m still learning the ropes on my 2006 22 cruiser Salish C. I have a couple of questions I hope someone can answer. Do I need to leave the battery switches in the “on” position to charge the batteries from shore power? I have twin Hondas, so I have three batteries. It seems like my onboard...
