At the Seattle boat show I stopped by the C-Dory display a couple times just to say hello. They made it quite clear I was unwelcome. So I stop by now to look and do not say hello. Quite unlike the Ranger Tug displays where a hello usually is enough to start a conversation.

Son got us the 7 x 50 West Marine. Medium price, and ever so much better than our previous cheaper ones. I would rate them very good for most inland waters (Puget Sound and Hood Canal).

One piece of advice not mentioned. Preferably turn motor off if you leave the cabin. Another, if you are going to the bow use the bow overhead window to get there, and have the motor off. Third: if it is stormy go to the nearest safe harbor, wait for better weather. Even if it is inconvenient...
