    Cockpit hand rails

I have searched the Forum on Cockpits and couldn't find the info I need. Does anyone have a link to a site for the 12" hand rails that are vertically mounted to the rear of the cabin on both port and starboard sides? I want to replace them with 24" hand rails and move the 12" rails to the top...

    Engine Overheating

Well, here I am again, but at least the problem has been solved. You can read in my previous posts all the things that I have tried to solve the overheating problem. None of those things solved the problem, but at least I got to know my motor real well. I finally took it to the Honda dealer...

    Cruiser 22 rub rail repair

Joe, Look in our album under Rub Rail Project. I documented with pictures the entire process. I replaced the rivets with ss screws, washers and Niloc nuts. Easy job and now the rail is tight and will stay that way. Tad

    Fresh water foot pump

Thanks for all the quick replies. Being of the School of "Keep it Simple Stupid" I think that the manual foot pump is what we want to stay with at this time. Ours certainly resembles the Whale Babyfoot Pump that Rob linked me to. That catalogue page indicates that a Service Kit is available...

    Fresh water foot pump

Does anyone know if the foot pump for the interior fresh water tank is re-buildable? Ours has worked fine on our 1995 22' since we purchased her in 2007. When we used the boat last week, the foot pump would not seem to hold the prime I guess. It seems as though the back check valve is not...

Honda generator fuel line for remote tank

I have been searching the forums for information that I had seen recently, but cannot find it. I am looking for a fuel line that is made for Honda generators that will allow me to connect the generator to a remote fuel tank. We use the generator a lot in the late spring and summer for air...

    Florida Gulf Coast Vacation Cruise

Thanks Larry. I will try and call Franklin Lock this week. What kind of company are they? Phone #? Mike, thanks. I would appreciate your thoughts after you have had a chance to catch up and rest. Do you know if Bulldog Boatwerks has a facility where we could keep the truck and trailer? Of...

    Florida Gulf Coast Vacation Cruise

Toby and I are going to cruise the west coast of Florida for our Dory long vacation this year. We will trailer the Comfy Dory across the state on Aug. 27th or 28th to Fort Myers. We want to leave the truck and trailer at a secure location for about 2 weeks. We'll spend about 3-4 days in the...

    Bumper Rails

Feed the bottom edge of the bumper into the slot and then tap the top edge down in with a rubber mallet. A little soap applied to the rubber bumper flanges will make it go smoothly. Tad

    Bumper Rails

We also have a 1995 22' Cruiser. Same problem as I suspect all Dory's of that age that have been used in salt water have. Take a look at our album under Rub Rail Project for photos of the whole process. It did not take long and the fix is permanent. I used through bolts rather than new...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

I spent the day yesterday re-finishing the air intake cover on my Honda 75 since it has been blowing at 25 mph for the last 2 days. Good workshop project. First I removed the cover from the cowling and then I was able to remove about 99% of the paint that was still left on the cover with a...

    Air Conditioning

For me, the idea was to keep it simple. 5000 BTU Zenith "Window Shaker" installed through the front window with AC insulation to seal and a Honda 1000 for power. About 5 minutes to set it up in the evening after we drop the hook and about the same to take it down in the morning. AC cost $99...

    Engine Overheating

Well, here I am again with the overheating problem. A short re-cap of the things I have done to try and eliminate the overheating problem. I replaced the impeller first...not the problem. I replaced the thermostat next...not the problem. I replaced the flush valve and the relief valve and...

    St Johns Christmas 09

I just posted yesterday some pictures from a cruise we took on the St. Johns River. We launched on Lake Harney west of Mims, FL on Sat. Dec. 26th and cruised north up to about Palatka, FL. Had a wonderful time and had a chance to re-charge our batteries after a hectic Thanksgiving (24 for...
