    2008 Venture 23 Pictures.....

Hehe...C-Lawyer :thup The only real problem he had was the Wallas. I sent a comment with a link to this site ( I was following along real time), knowing he could get his problem solved here, but for some reason blog comments never got posted. 8)

    2008 Venture 23 Pictures.....

According to the C-Dory website, the 23 and 26 are upcoming models...although the "downsize" might affect that. Some say that the 23 and 26 are actually Toland improved versions of the 22 and 25 (slight deadrise, bow angle, transom, gunwale width, floor, etc). I would guess, especially with the...

    The Brat Map

No Brats in WVa. is surprising, as the Kenawha River from at least Cabin Creek, WVa through Charleston, and all the way to the Ohio River is a unique trip, and of course once on the Ohio the options are almost limitless. :beer There are a number of marinas and private residences all along...

Trailer Boats C-Dory 22 article / October Issue

The manufcturers pay a pretty hefty fee to have boattest (and it's associated trawlertest) test the boats. Cosequently, you will almost never find a negative in the review. These tests are marketing tools for the manufacturer; nothing more. A nice video, WOT, GPH and MPG are the most useful...

    C Dory Quality

I was first introduced to C-dory by Mobile East Marine at a local boat show. Great people! All one has to do is read the forums from other manufacturers, including Brunswick, and Genmar. Not only are the QC issues on new boats a real problem, but in many cases; UNLIKE with C-dory, the dealers...

    Anybody recognize this boat?

I think Nelson is a "standard" in the UK. The front portlights are common on those, whereas the Orkney, the Raider, and others, do not have them. I don't know whether Nelson makes/made a boat as small as the one in the picture though :?:

    C-Dory Quality Control

Hmmm....what I meant to impart was positive about Balsa; from here: http://www.yachtsurvey.com/core_materials.htm "Balsa, like teak, contains a toxin that fungi doesn't like. It doesn't rot until that toxin leaches away." "Another Problem: Most foams used in boat building have very low...

C-Dory (and other brands) delivered partially built?

Hey Matt...from the other site. Before you give up on C-Dory; here is another take on all this. http://www.yachtsurvey.com/ It seems that allot of other boats are truly "nightmares"...not just small "irks" Bob Austin probably can tell us if this is reasonably accurate.

    New C-Dory 29'

My "third party" opinion, for what it's worth. SeaSport, Osprey, Nordic Tug, Rosborough, to name a few competetors that SEEM to offer more for the same or even less. I believe that considering the alleged QC issues currently with C-Dory; first time buyers of that size and type of boat might...

    Done with #@!! ProPulse

I am not in total agreement here. While the "slip" bushing indeed acts as the old sheer pin with rotational inertia, preventing shaft twist or spline breakage; a lateral impact which would deform an aluminum prob could bend a shaft, bend a spline, and thus affect the gears as well. :smiled

    Done with #@!! ProPulse

Not sure what broke it, but if you periodically hit rocks, then by all means go aluminum. Whatever broke it, the aluminum will be stronger, and hopefully will not tear up so bad that you cannot limp home. However, a Stainless prop is so strong that much of any impact energy would be transferred...
