I haven’t priced new, but that seems about right for a 2018-19 on a trailer. My 2007 23 Venture on a trailer with air conditioner was about half that....so I guess that’s about right for new with warranty?

Sounds like you had fun! I guess I should have mentioned the horse flies, I kept cabin door and screens closed anytime I was slower than 20mph! Fish Tales at Ft McAllister has great food and live music th-sat. Wish I could’ve been there to greet y’all on the way in.

I’d be interested to see how the Honda performs compared to the Suzuki 150. I left my Venture at FtMcallister Marina, I’ll resume Loop in a couple weeks. I’m fairly heavy loaded, cruising at 21-22 mph, 3750-3800rpm and burning about 4.3 gph.

I just made this run yesterday, but northbound. The sounds are your only open water, but even when they’re nasty, just slow to 10-15 and bob along. They’re not anything like the gulf or the Chesapeake, probably no more than 8-10 miles each of exposed water. As long as your equipment is reliable...

Update: cruised from Julington Creek (Jacksonville) to Welaka on St Johns, then back to Palatka for the night. Heading back down to at least Astor tomorrow. For mileage nerds, cruised 6 hours at 21mph average. Burned 4.7gph for a mpg of 4.46mpg 2007 Suzuki DF150, pretty heavy, 5680# on trailer...

Oh yeah, I forgot, 3800 rpm=21.5 mph on gps with light winds.

Just buy two of the 5 gallon Dometic potties, carry one fully assembled, and bring the bottom half of the other one. When primary fills up, swap to secondary. This will give you a week or more for a couple. Works for me!
