My guess would be that he is using the Yamaha NMEA 2000 output directly to the chart plotter. His engine has a NMEA 2000 output connector and, with the correct cable, that can be hooked directly to the plotter. The fuel flow sensor is internal to the engine. I'm unfamiliar with how that is...
