I think it looks a bit pudgy, but I reserve judgement until I see a pic of that tomcat in the water. They all look a bit awkward on a trailer from certain angles. It has potential to look pretty cool floating.
Just put the tomcat away for storage last weekend. I deflate the tires to gain the last 3-4 inches clearance of a loft over my stern rails. Once they clear I inflate them again for storage.
At the factory tour I recall the owner mentioning a change in layup as well, making them lighter and stronger, I believe they use some biaxial cloth now, maybe someone else remembers exactly.
6 by 6 aluminum angle, 1/2 inch thick, held on with 7/16 stainless bolts, insulated with neoprene washers. PVC lumber with countersunk bolts. We will see how it holds up.
