    2007 Honda 90

The 2007 Honda 75 and 90 are based on the engine that is used in the Honda Fit automobile. They will now be fuel injected too, finally. I can actually consider staying with Honda now when it comes time to repower.

    Inside Storage

iggy, Here's what I've found size wise I need on my 22' Cruiser. Minimum height for door with boat on trailer would be 9'. This is assuming you have nothing on the roof above the boat. If you have radar or an arch, you'll have to add that height to it. That's on a roller trailer, so you...

    boat cover

Angola Canvas makes covers for the C-Dory dealer in Michigan, that's why they're so knowledgeable on them. The dealer had given me their contact info when I bought my boat and told me that's who they get their covers from. Jack

latest word on engine size for CD22

Chris, Looks like the following dealers sell/rig Suzuki engines: Boatline - Charleston, SC Old Lyme Marina - Old Lyme, CT Y-Landing Marina - Meredith, NH You can find all their contact info on the C-Dory website on the Dealer page. You might also consider looking at the Evinrude E-Tec...

No more C-Dory Factory service, Seattle area

Bob, I agree completely that clearly QC is lacking currently at the factory. Unfortunately when you're writing on a board, you don't always get everything across the first time you write it. I'm all for this switch as long as C-Dory is doing it to improve their boat building core business...

No more C-Dory Factory service, Seattle area

To me this sounds like C-Dory is trying to get back to their core business: Building Boats. And great boats at that. Maybe the service issues of recent have lead to some problems on quality control. If not doing direct sales and service anymore means that the next C-Dory I buy is of...

TomCat 24 Hull in 6ft to 8ft seas

longshort, You should send Molly Brown a PM. I believe they have taken their Tomcat 24 to the Bahamas several times. They should be able to tell you first hand how the boat handles doing that run. You can see some of their pictures from places they've been to in their photo album too. Jack

    Air Conditioning 2

williamsburg, Thanks for the pictures. Great looking install. I assume you leave the a/c unit in place while running in the boat? How does the a/c unit ride in chop? Did you secure it down to the floor somehow? Also, do you still have enough leg room to sit at the table? Neat idea you have...

    Sea Gypsy

Al, I tow my 22 Cruiser with a F-350 diesel too, and I have my tongue height set at 18 inches I believe. Trailer pulls level at that height and I don't have any problems. I have a LoadRite with 13 inch tires, so if you're running 14 or 15 inch tires, you might need to adjust a bit for those. Jack

honda tach adjustment or are my rpm's limited?

computer-rooter, Had a similar problem on my Honda 75. The indicator dial on the back of the tachometer was set to the wrong position. Not sure if the 75 and 90 are the same (and I'm going from memory here), but I believe I had to change my setting to number 2, then everything worked fine. If...

lloyds, I figured you meant the gasoline engines, but thought I'd have a little fun with that one. :D

If my Ford diesel were spitting spark plugs out of the block, I would definately be worried.

    Avoid Dodge

I believe these are the people that appear in the Darwinian awards every year. Unfortunately not enough accidents happen each year to weed them out of the population.

    sliding shelves

I believe the ones at Home Depot are $50, and the exact same ones on Ovis are like $85, so about $35/shelf cheaper at Home Depot, if you put in two, that would save you $70 (plus no shipping charges, but don't forget the tax), or you get almost two from Home Depot for the price of one from Ovis...

    Garage Tool Info Request

OK, here's the tool I have probably used the most on my projects. Simple Sears Craftsman rotary tool. Ran about $40 and comes with a plunge router attachment. As for work bench setup, I have a nice 8 foot area in my garage that I was able to dedicate to a nice setup of Gladiator Garageworks...

    Anchor Windless

Fred, I don't have a Quick windlass, but if I recall from prior threads over the years, people are much happier with the Lewmar/Simpson Lawrence windlasses compared to the Quicks. I believe the Quicks had a tendency to slip or something like that when retrieving the anchor. Consequently when...

    proper RPM for honda 75

The factory tests that were done on the 22 Cruiser with the Honda 75 used a 13 3/4" x 15" 3-blade aluminum prop. That's what I use on my setup, which is the same as yours (2001 Cruiser with Honda 75). By the way, your speed is probably right on, when my tach was misreading, my speed was...

    proper RPM for honda 75

Not normal for that. I had a similar thing happen on mine. On the back of the tachometer, there's a 4 position setting knob, I believe labeled either 0-3 or 1-4 (I forget without looking). Anyway, find out what the setting should be for your motor year and size (call your Honda dealer and ask...

    New TomCat 25

Just got my May 2006 issue of Motor Boating in the mail yesterday. They did a test drive on the Tomcat 255 on page 38. Different writer on the article than the one on BoatTest. Will be interesting to compare the two write ups. Jack

    Lowrance NauticPAth Maps

Ken, Did you get the radar to go with it? I'm really looking at the Lowrance right now for chartplotting and radar. Don't so much care about the sonar, but I do like what I've read so far about the Lowrance and price wise it seems to be pretty decent. Jack
