The cockpit and the v-berth and windage

Sounds to me like a Marinaut would fit the bill of what you're looking for if you could find one! Larger V-birth opening and with the removable bulk head you'd have more space. Once again, good luck finding one! https://www.facebook.com/pg/Marinaut-Bo ... e_internal John Scallywag

    Nootka!!!

Thanks for all the input gang! Tom, The guy's name is Murray. Super laid back. He originally posted it on craigslist and I thought it was a scam because it took a while to here back from him. Turns out he just likes to spend a little time in Cabo!! He now has it posted on AirBnB...

    10 Day San Juan’s Itinerary

Don't sweat it!! Just watch the weather and you'll be fine!! I've read lots of "danger beware" post in the past and it spooked some people off sadly. Anywhere can be bad... Use your common sense and it'll be a great trip! John Scallywag

    10 Day San Juan’s Itinerary

If you left Friday Harbor, took the west side of Orcas island to the north, came back down Rosario strait on the east side, past Blakely Island, to the southern tip of Lopez and back up through Cattle Pass and return to Friday Harbor you might have traveled 55 nm. If you went all the way around...

    10 Day San Juan’s Itinerary

The 7th is a good launch day. I would avoid trying to launch or recover on the 2nd,4th,9th or the 11th. They are halibut days and will be a mad house, especially the two Saturdays. If you're just looking for quiet, there are quite a few anchorages around to choose from around almost all of...

    So, then there is this....

I'll just leave this here.... Sounds like bad on the manufacture, but who doesn't insure a $300,000 boat? https://www.cutwater302.com/blog?fbclid ... e3TFg9RGYA

    Wallas stove power troubleshooting help

Due to the large power draw of the stove it's usually wired directly to the battery with an inline fuse holder. I would look in your battery compartment, the fuse should be less than 1' from the battery connection.(Or at least that's the way mine was wired before I rewired everything!) Happy...

    Gone Fishing

Sorry for not stopping by and saying hello! I thought I spotted a couple of C-Dory's on the dock Friday! We made a last minute decision to spend the weekend in the San Juan's and an even more last minute decision to make a run for Friday Harbor that evening instead of staying at the dock in...

Do any brats use marine charts?

Lollygaggin, that discussion also came up today. I personally wouldn't go out of the way to install a stand alone sounder on a vessel of our size, and if I did, it would be in the version of another chartplotter combo on a separate circuit for redundancy. Chartplotters have come down so much...

Do any brats use marine charts?

Awesome discussion to be going on while I'm in my Captains course. I personally side with Tom. Are you all using the chart to navigate or to plan? If navigation is your answer, how often do you update your course? If you're not updating at some frequency how are you navigating? Are you...

    Flounder for Salmon

Mac, I'll have to take a look tomorrow but I'm almost positive they're bennets. They work great. I always start out with at least 50% and the boat comes right out on step. I have plenty of room but top speed isn't effected too much. If it's glass out I'll raise them once on step and she'll pick...

Forrest is right. Washington and Alaska are off the list. Not legal for sale or barter. Im sure Oregon is the same. Our fisheries up here are in enough hot water right now. Trade=Barter. John Scallywag
