BOAT MOVES OFF CENTER AT BOW TIP ROLLER

Interesting thread. I have owned both types of trailers on two 22' bayliner trophy's and present 22' c-dory crusier. My second trophy was on a bunk and the others were roller types, and all have been ez loader tandems. Personally, I would not own a bunk unless it was a small light weight...

    Sturgeon

Mike, Sounds like you had a good day on the water. I am really looking forward to the Warrenton gathering, so I hope you find out all hot spots on the river. Pulled a real boner off the 10th of May. To make a long story short, I jumped off a friends boat after we spent the day sturgeon...

    Ventilation

Ken, How well does the solar vent work for the fogging problems. I have a fan up front but unless I have the middle window cracked the fogging can still be a problem. Jim, Work Release

    Trolling with twin 40's

Rick, For what its worth I have twin Honda 50's on my 22 cruiser and one trolls down just fine for King fishing. I would much limp in with a 50hp than a 8hp. Jim, Work Release

    !@#$%&^* trailer bearings

Greg, I'm with you! I have been pulling my boat around quite a few years and have always pulled over after about five miles and felt the hubs. Usually if your going to have a problem its going to happen fairly soon. Every time I stop its a walk around for a feel. In the spring I jack my trailer...

I also to say what a great time Work Release and crew had at this gathering. Meet a lot of great people as always and the food and wine at the potluck couldn't have been better. Hope my Chile didn't ruin anybodies Saturday night. Thanks, to Larry for suppling the fresh fish. We didn't catch one...

    Coho Killer?? What is this??

Jeff, Your right it is a spoon. It is smaller than a Coyote spoon and is used on Coho and Chinook. It is fished behind a flasher with a leader length between 36" and 60". When the fish are feeding on the smaller bait they can productive. Hopes this helps, Jim, Work Release

    06/18 - 06/19 - Lower Columbia Sturgeon Fest

This sounds like a great fish gathering. I have always wanted to try this fishery, suppose a guy could get a few pointers from someone who has fished this? When the word fishing trip is said I will take the time off. Count me in if there is room. Just got my boat back tonight from the factory...

    unsure....

Gunfyter, I have owned two Trophies, 1985 hardtop with a inboard and a 2001 with a add-on hardtop with a 125 hp merc (picture in my photo album). Both were good DAY fishing boats but they didn't offer much for overnight trips. Not enough storage and a guy could freeze his tail off without...

    Just wondering

David, This is a good question! I have looked at a lot of picture albums and have not seen one that shows where anyone stores their throw aways. I bungee a kitchen trash container next to my feet below the captains seat on the outer bulkhead. This works pretty well, holds a days worth , and...

Removable Seat - like on Work Release

Hi Dan, I answered your e-mail on the 2/7 and sent to <skydog365@yahoo.com>, sorry it didn't get to you. The seat is very stable and easily supports my 230 pounds. I measured the height of a kitchen chair for my installation and would go a 1 inch lower if I did it again. There is a lot of...

Mike, Thanks for the info. I fished for sturgeon on a charter below the Bonneville Dam some years ago and caught some big boys, but they were to big to keep. I have always wanted to catch some legal keepers to eat. I heard they are also good smoked. I'm not sure if there is a better time of...

I am really getting excited about this gathering and a lot of questions are floating around in my mind. Have been searching the web to gain info on this springer fishery. Perhaps, someone could answer a few questions below. 1. Is it necessary to make reservations at the marina? 2. Is power...

    05/06 - 05/07 - Lopez Opening Day

Work Release would be at this fun gathering again. This was my first c-brat gathering last year and the welcome mat was out, Great food, Great People, and GREAT BEER! Dave, I was really looking forward to you being there to say good words over Work Release, since she didn't have her named on...

This will be my first time to try the Columbia fishery and I'm really looking forward to this gathering. I know this is a very sensitive issue for many fisherman, but I'll take my chances asking. My question is what kind of special gear do you need or should have when other than the standard...

    Boat Lettering

Hi Gary, Congratulations on the new boat. I used a company called Prism Graphics Inc. and was quite satisfied with their product. They have a web site called prismvinyl.com. I saw them at the Seattle Boat Show again this year. Jim, Work Release

Do you think there would be room for one more boat at this gathering? I sure would like to try this fishery and meet some of the C-Brat fisherman. I have never tried this fishery but have heard good things about it. Hopefully, I could get some instructions from the pros on fishing the river...
