    Bottom Paint - TC255

Edmonds has a work yard across the street from the Port. Most people have their boat lifted out, taken to the work yard on the travel lift or fork lift, and either bottom paint their own boat or hire someone to do it. There are a couple of people who work out of Edmonds. We had our Ranger 25...

Alcohol vs Wallas for heating & cooking

We went with the butane/electric combo., because we do not use the stove that much and have been happy heating the cabin with small portable heaters. We get more storage space without the fuel storage and am guessing a lot less maintenance. Also, the canister is really easy to use. Nancy

    Some Technical Questions

We simply turn the refrigerator off at night. Anything like milk goes in the cooler on ice. With the cool nights in the PNW, that works for us. Nancy

    Any remodeling on 25 Ranger?

Thanks for posting the pictures. Great to see what other people have done. Can't wait until next spring so we can see the tugs out on the water in the PNW and take a look at the modifications in person.... Our project for this winter - teak...........

    Considering the C-Ranger, but....

We talked to Ranger about this problem before we picked up our tug. We were satisfied with their response and are confident they will stand behind their customers. I too suggest you talk to Jeff at the factory. That would be the best way to get the answeres you are looking for.

    Proud owners of Hull #46

Hi Everyone Kerry and I took delivery of a red R25 on Tuesday, 9/4. Trinity is docked next to GiGi in Edmonds. We are off to Oak Harbor for our first overnight this weekend. It has been a long wait. Jeff and Andrew at the factory have been great to work with. Hope to get a lot of boating...

R25 with no trailer - issues?

You can double check with Andrew at the factory, but it is my understanding, that they will come to the boat to do warranty work if necessary. Also, Edmonds treats the water from the sling area, so we are able to wash down our hull. Nancy

R25 with no trailer - issues?

That is exactly what we do in Edmonds. You can use sling time or, they take the boat across the street to the yard where you can reserve as many days as you want for maintenance. We find our 60 min. of sling time, which includes a power wash, works for washing and waxing the hull and changing...

    Living in the San Juans

My brother and his family are thinking about moving to the San Juans and has asked for some recommendations on which island to live on. He has 3 school age children. Not sure what he is thinking about for employment. Are there are some C-Brats out there with first-hand knowledge? Kerry

    Let's Go Girls

Patty, you are right on! I think it is important for all of us women to learn how to handle our boats well. I have to say, it has been fun "listening" to the guys talk about the solo women in the San Juans. Watch out, here we come! Nancy

Kudos to Andrew at Ranger Tugs

WE have not taken delivery on our tug yet, but Andrew is already giving us great customer service. Great tug, great company. As an asside, has anyone read the new Passagemak magazine? They cover another 26 footer that costs over $200,000! I have to say, the C Ranger is a lot...

    R25 usage costs

Tim, Susan in the Port of Edmonds office is a great resource for slip availability. I believe the smaller slips have a shorter waiting list. We pay more for the larger slip because we like to have more space between boats. The wait list for the R-25 varies I think. My understanding is each...

    R25 usage costs

Hi Tim- Several of us have slips at the Port of Edmonds. Nice location and facility. There are several different options and costs, so would recommend you give them a call. 425-775-4458. We also have the port pull our boat out twice a year to power wash and wax the hull and to change the...
