sounds like the additive ZPPD, which is a zinc type additive that has been removed / reduced in many oils and still in others. pretty important for cams, lifters and other engine parts. it is available as an additive and may be much cheaper than going with an aviation brand. just google ZPPD

False spring here also. Last week we had -40f and today snow was melting if in the sunshine. A sign of things to come but not just yet. We are gaining 7 minutes of sun a day. Just over 4 months to 24 hrs of daylight and lotsa c-dory.

Bob, nice write up with pics. Would like to do the same when boat thaws. Was wondering what kind of epoxy you used , what filler used, and ratios of filler and cabosil. thanks much Dan
