For the next two months, I'll be on C-Traveler cruising the British Columbia coast with Bill on Mystery Girl, and Mike on Little Joe. Bill is from South Carolina, while Mike is also a cheesehead, from Milwaukee. I'll be blogging at my Find Penguins blog. Colby, I am enjoying following you with the Find Penguins blog in your travel. I especially enjoyed watching you go through the Princess Louisa Inlet yesterday. It brings back great memories. Thanks for your sharing. Enjoy. Gary

Colby, I'm really enjoying your blog - with equal portions of joy and envy! Your account of transiting the Sechelt Rapids brings back memories. Glad you were appropriately cautious. Several years ago, we jockeyed below the rapids waiting for what is laughably called the "slack" and watched Canadian Coasties practicing their boat handling skills in an RIB. They were young guys having a great time. We were saddened to learn that the next year one of those RIBs flipped in the rapids and lives were lost.
Great pictures and written accounts! Can't wait for future installments.
 
Thanks, Colby, for documenting your trip and sharing it with us. The BC coast is a natural habitat for boats like ours, and I am glad to see C-Traveler in its element! Great reports and pix on the FindPenguins site.
 
Colby, You have learned so much about the history of Ocean Falls from the locals these last few days. The people living there must be very friendly. Its nice to see you take time in an area before moving on the next destination.
 
There are a lot of changes since we first at Ocean Falls. The Hotel and all of the rooms were intact, including the medical clinic, store etc. There was free Cable TV at the dock--about the only place with that in BC. The dock was much shorter, and no ferry boat ever came there. I suspect the ferry boat was the down fall of Ocean Falls.!!
 
Just a quick note. The three of us are all back at home. We had a good time cruising the British Columbia Coast. The boats handled the waters well. There were days we went out while the larger trawlers were still in harbor waiting for calmer seas. We ended up pulling out a day or two before the end of June, but after just a day or two shy of being out for two months. Saw some interesting places, met some interesting people, and learned a bit about local cultures. I also finally got an opportunity to spend a couple days on Lake Coeur d'Alene in Idaho, stopping there on my way back home. Colby

I thoroughly enjoyed following your In Reach tracks matched with blog & photos. The combination really gave a superb detail of your cruise. Bill stopped by & shared a few days with JoLee & I at Bridge Bay on Yellowstone Lake on his way home. Along with his good company, he shared lots more good information about your cruise.
